- Miss Alice's Mental Illness
Alice asked a few people but they didn't see William, so she could only return home. Standing there for a long time, her legs were sore.
Once she returned, Kathy, who skipped class, immediately rushed out and ran towards her and grabbed her leg. Her face was red from excitement and she looked at her with her big eyes blinking, "Mom, Grandma said you have a baby, I'm so happy, where is it?"
"You won't see the baby before a long time."
"How long? An hour? A day? Or a hundred days? " Kathy didn't have a specific concept of time.
Alice laughed, squatted down, and touched her little face, "At this time, shouldn't you be in class? You actually ran out here?"
Hearing this, Kathy mischievously stuck her tongue out at her, "I'm going back to class now, can you call me when the baby comes?"
Alice could only smile and nod as she watched Kathy bounce away.
Everyone in this family welcomed the arrival of this little baby. Other than William, perhaps it was not that he did not like it, but he had other thoughts.
Alice was prepared to organize her speech and calmly talk it over with William, so she waited until night because she didn't see William at lunch time.
Elizabeth even asked her, "Is William too nervous? And when he heard about the kid, he just ignored you."
Who would be so nervous that they don't even care about the kid's mother? Unless he didn't want the baby. Only, Elizabeth did not realize this.
Late in the night, Alice stayed alone in her room. Sitting on the bed, she held the remote controller as she changed to a different channels. Her attention was not on it at all.
But it was so quiet that there was no sound at all.
An hour, another hour.
William did not return.
It's not like him as he always hated to run when problems came to him, but today, he avoided her for an entire day.
Remembering what had happened at the farm, Alice reorganized the words she had been preparing for the entire day and walked outside.
William was in the study room, the servant said this.
Alice walked towards the study, pushed open the door and walked in. The huge study room was completely empty.
Alice was startled for a few seconds, didn't they say William was here?
She looked around until she realized on the desk, there was a mess that books were all over. There were books on the telephone, on the chairs, not to mention on the ground.
The bookshelves were also in a mess. Many books were scattered on the floor. It was obvious that they had been thrown away by someone.
Don't treasure books that much?
Did these books offend him?
Alice walked over, bent down, and picked up a few books from the ground to fold it. Just as she was about to put them away, she saw the title that stunned her- The harm of pregnancy to woman.
Alice's heart fiercely shook. Indeed, it was as she had guessed.
She walked over to the desk, it was covered with books about the harm of pregnancy and childbirth, and on the chairs, the books were almost all about caring for a woman who had an abortion.
He made up his mind to let her get rid of the child.
If this was the reason, she would be even less willing to abort. Alice closed the book on the table and stacked it up.
There was another pile of documents. Alice was startled, she picked up the files, and saw that it was a conversation with a small recording pen beside.
The style of this pen is similar to that of a few years ago.
Alice turned it on and heard a familiar voice, "Mr. William, I am Miss Alice's main doctor in Italy, I will now explain the situation of Miss Alice to you."
Miss Alice.
Now that they called her Young Madam, very few people called her Miss Alice.
Alice suddenly realized that the recording was from a long time ago, and she wasn't sure how long it had been. The voice continued to sound, "At that time, when I was arranged to take care of Miss Alice, I discovered that her body was in a very bad condition, and the most important thing was that she was overly worried, coupled with the large amount of negative emotions she had from being imprisoned in one place for a long period of time, Miss Alice had been extremely thin after giving birth, and in the end, she was no longer able to feed the baby."
Alice stood there and listened to the doctor's voice.
When did William ask about this?
