- Humiliating Lancaster family
William just has eaten half the cake, but hearing that his face didn't have much of an expression. He still continued to eat it. His pitch - black eyes showed interest as he listened to the lawyer reciting the terms one after another.
"Including the fact that the Cullen Family should step down from the British. None of this is enough to completely wipe out the pain of Mister's loss of his daughter." The lawyer read out all the terms of the settlement arrogantly, and his mouth was already parched.
His words silenced the entire meeting room.
Everyone silently looked at William, who was calmly eating his cake. As if he was enjoying the world's best meal.
Alice looked at him, and quietly went over, "They are waiting for your reply."
Everyone in the room stood there staring at William, waiting for him to nod or shake his head, but it was as if he couldn't see everyone's gazes at all.
"Reply to what?"
William's voice was low, but it was enough for everyone to hear.
Peter was in a bad mood, but he still stood up to speak. William was just finishing the last bite of the cake, putting down his fork. He stood up and moved his neck. He said, "I'm tired, I'm going back to sleep."
"Second Young Master Cullen." "Have you forgotten something?"
"What is it?"
William asked with a cold smile.
"You personally asked for permission to talk about the reconciliation between the two great clans, and you're leaving without giving me a proper explanation?" Peter asked.
"Explanation?" William smiled as he repeated himself. He reached out and pulled Alice up from the sofa, then slowly looked towards the lawyer, "I came here to discuss business today, and ended up seeing a joke. I still haven't gotten Lancaster family to give me a proper explanation."
"You!"
Peter was suddenly at a loss for words. This was something that wasn't written in the script that was arranged for him by the family. He blurted out, "So you're not going to reconcile with our family?"
"Reconciliation? "Heh." William sneered and walked to Beat. He patted his shoulder, "You want me to give up half of the N.E. If you want my Cullen Family to leave England, is it that my brain was hit by a gun, or you guys?"
Peter could not speak a word.
The lawyer immediately stood up and said, "Young Master Cullen, don't forget that today's reconciliation was proposed by you and not our Lancaster family."
The lawyer was hinting to William and the others that they still had a trump card, hinting that William had a request for them right now.
"Yes, I did."
William said.
"I believe that your original intention for reconciliation was to show the greatest sincerity towards our family." Before the lawyer could finish speaking, William laughed again, as if the lawyer's words were all a joke.
The lawyer looked embarrassed.
"You're all used to thinking too much in Lancaster?" William pulled Alice into his embrace, then looked towards the lawyer and Peter, "My wife is too bored, I don't think there's any meaning in doing anything. My Cullen Family doesn't have any way to make her happy, so I can only think of you two."
"What do you mean? Are you saying that everyone in Lancaster family here is clown for your wife to enjoy?" Peter was still young after all, so he immediately followed William's words when he heard it.
He did not understand that his straightforward words were more insulting than William's.
The row of lawyers behind them all had dark faces with worry all over them. It looked like this meeting was going to be ruined.
"Of course." William stretched his hand out and snatched the black folder from the hands of a lawyer, bringing the text in front of Peter, "Take a look at this thick stack, isn't it funny? Alice, do you think it's funny? Are you happy? "
Alice stood beside William and smiled, following what William said, "This joke is the funniest one I have heard.
The lawyer's face turned pale. He was just a clown.
"I wanted to see how big Lancaster's appetite was, but what was it? You also want a diamond that you stole from my aunt, heh." William laughed extremely arrogantly, "What is this? Lancaster poor to the point of begging? That's right, there are no Berg Island left. Why didn't you say it earlier? "Since Lancaster values it so much, I will definitely have someone deliver it to you."
The meeting room was deathly silent.
Alice observed the expressions on everyone's faces. William returned the humiliation he had suffered just now. And their faces turned from green to purple, looking extremely ugly.
Lancaster had carefully calculated the situation in order to humiliate William, but they didn't expect that William would use it to humiliate them.
Other than lawyers and Peter, there was nothing else on the scene that could refute William. They could only allow themselves to be humiliated.
"Young master, it's getting late. Since young madam is so happy today, why don't we go back?" Frank stood up and said, the words from his mouth provoked Lancaster yet again.
"Sure."
Alice readily agreed.
William had not humiliated them enough. After hearing what he said. He threw the folder in his hands and prepared to leave.
