When the second guard saw Long Yu, the guard, and Yao Ran approaching, he greeted them, "Captain Long, Miss Yao."
Hearing this, Long Yu turned and saw Yao Ran behind him. "Why aren’t you getting more rest?" he asked.
Yao Ran yawned and replied, "I woke up when you two were talking, so I figured I might as well take a look."
Her gaze then shifted toward the approaching lights in the distance, and she commented, "This group isn’t ordinary."
Long Yu nodded in agreement. "Anyone who made it here alive—especially in off-road vehicles—is bound to be highly capable."
After he said that, the four of them stood there and watched as the convoy stopped twenty meters away from their barricade. Before long, a man stepped out of the leading off-road vehicle and walked toward them.
Seeing that the four of them were armed, the man stopped four meters away. He first glanced at the planes parked behind Long Yu and the others, then shifted his gaze to them.
"Excuse me, may I see your leader?" he asked politely.
Since the man was being polite, Long Yu responded calmly, "You can talk to me."
The man observed Long Yu for a moment before asking, "Brother, I see you have more than twenty planes, you should have enough supplies and fuel. Can you sell me some gasoline?"
Hearing this, Long Yu lowered his head and whispered, "Ran Ran, what do you think? Do you want to sell gasoline to him?"
Yao Ran glanced at the off-road vehicles parked in the distance and noticed that they, along with the buses and motorcycles, had been modified. Although she wasn’t sure if the glass was bulletproof, she could tell that anyone who owned such vehicles must be wealthy.
After assessing the vehicles, she turned her attention to the man standing in front of them.
Dressed in a black combat suit, the man didn’t look like a civilian but he more resembled a trained soldier. Moreover, the way he moved and spoke was similar to Ma Benshun and the others.
Once she finished observing him, Yao Ran whispered to Long Yu.
"We have more people, but we don’t know how strong they are. I still have plenty of gasoline in my space, so selling some to them isn’t a problem. It’s best to avoid battle in this area since the ground is unstable."
Listening to her reasoning, Long Yu responded, "Alright."
Having made their decision, Long Yu looked at the man and asked, "How much gasoline do you need?" Continue reading stories on Freewebnovel
The man’s eyes lit up as he answered, "We need at least 3,000 liters of gasoline, but we will buy as much as you have."
As soon as he said this, the two guards frowned.
Noticing their expressions, the man quickly added, "If you don’t have that much, we will take whatever you can spare."
Since he was being reasonable, Yao Ran didn’t make it difficult for him and asked, "What will you offer in exchange for the gasoline?"
