Natural Disasters Strikes: I stockpiled like crazy! novel Chapter 163

Lin Yicheng, ever the thoughtful little dumpling, had prepared gifts for everyone. With a focused look on his small face, he proudly handed out red paper calligraphies with his own personal writings, each one a well-wishing masterpiece.

’Happy New Year, bright and true. May joy and laughter stay with you. Big dreams shine like stars above. A year of hope, a year of love!’

Nanzhi, seeing the exquisite craftsmanship of his work, couldn’t help but be in awe. "My sweetheart is so talented!" she exclaimed, her heart swelling with pride.

Lin Yicheng, not one to hide his cleverness, whispered in his little voice, "I asked my Grandmother and Uncle to teach me!"

In truth, the little one didn’t want to ask his family for money. Instead, he wanted to give something of his own, and after some contemplation, he remembered the beautiful landscape and calligraphy paintings he had seen the night before. It was then that the idea struck—he could make something just as beautiful!

With a sparkle in her eye, Nanzhi found frames for the calligraphy and hung them up on the wall for everyone to admire. Lin Yicheng stood back, his face glowing with a shy smile, his cheeks flushing as he gazed at his works on display.

Then came Feng Ran, always the joker of the group. His gifts weren’t as elegant as Lin Yicheng’s heartfelt calligraphy, but they were just as thoughtful. "I won this from some old coots in a poker game. How about we play a game after dinner, and the losers drink?" Feng Ran grinned, holding up a few bottles of baiju.

Next, Hei Qian and Bingwen made their entrance, each carrying a beautifully remodeled gun, custom-made with their names etched into the metal. "It’s not much, but we hope you like it," Bingwen said, his pride shining through despite his usual cool demeanor.

Lin Yicheng also received a custom-made multi-tool. "Thank you!" Yu Baoyin, clearly thrilled, held it up with excitement.

"Thank you, Big Brothers!" Lin Yicheng added, bowing slightly, his voice full of gratitude.

"Thank you," Nanzhi chimed in, pleased with her own gifts.

She also prepared gifts for everyone was a pot of her special Bingdi Lotus tea, accompanied by a box of her homemade mooncakes. Each mooncake was a delicate blend of mist gold honey, winter plum blossoms, mist bloom cow’s milk, and mist kernel hen’s eggs—a combination that had been perfected over the past few days.

The tea, labeled with a humble two-star rating, was anything but ordinary.

[2-star Bingdi Lotus Tea with Mist Gold Honey]

[-Increases mental power permanently by 2.5 points per cup.]

[1-star Mist Plum Honeyed Moon Cake]

[-Improves clarity of mind and dispels minor de-buffs.]

Nanzhi had been testing it herself, and while the tea originally gave only a modest 2 points per cup, when combined with the mist gold honey and milk from the Misty Land’s cows, it increased by half a point. What was even more wonderful, however, was that there was no consumption limit. Unfortunately, the benefits could only be enjoyed once every week.

The room quickly filled with the refreshing, addictive scent of sweet tea and pastries. Even Yu Baoyin, who wasn’t exactly fond of honey, couldn’t resist taking a sip.

"Hmmm…" Hei Qian’s eyes lit up. He drained his cup in a few swift gulps.

Unlike the others, the awakened members of the group felt the effects more intensely. A warm current flowed through their bodies, bringing a sense of relief and invigoration.

"This is better than the milk, Big Sister. Can I have another cup?" Lin Yicheng asked, licking his lips eagerly as he eyed the remaining tea.

Nanzhi smiled and replaced his cup with a fresh one. "Sweetie, you can only have one cup a week. But I’ll brew you some chocolate milk instead!"

"Okay!" Lin Yicheng nodded, clearly satisfied with the compromise.

Feng Ran, who had been sipping his tea with great enjoyment, leaned back and said, "Even the pu’er tea that Mrs. Lin favors couldn’t compare to this."

"My father prefers Longjing tea, but I’d say this is even better," Yu Baoyin added, savoring the aftertaste.

Lin Weihao, who had been quietly enjoying his tea in the corner, finally spoke up. "They’re not exaggerating. This tea is truly something special."
