The other side was silent for a moment before asking Big Guo, "What is your location?"
Big Guo quickly relayed their position.
"Alright. I'll get the cars and my men ready. Try to stay alive for five minutes," came the response.
Five minutes?!
How could he endure five more minutes? There were more than a hundred ants on their tail!
Big Guo cursed under his breath, trying to suppress his frustration. He couldn't afford to anger the people on the other end—they were their last hope.
"Ke ke keke!" The ants charged forward.
Bang! Bang!
They had been running from the ant horde for so long that their ammunition had finally run out. They were like fish on the chopping block, trapped and helpless.
"Big Guo! I'm out! There's nothing left!"
"What?! How about the other car? Tell them to cover for us!" Big Guo gritted his teeth. It would take at least five minutes for those people to arrive!
"We're empty too—"
Just then, the lesser mutant ants condensed together and lifted the wreck car with their mandibles and hurled it toward them.
Screeeeeech!
The other car had to brake sharply to avoid a collision.
In the split second that followed, two soldier ants seized the opportunity to spray acid.
The hissing, bubbling noise filled their ears as the acid spread, creating holes in the car.
Big Guo could only hear the crunch of metal being torn apart before the other car derailed, flipped over, and tumbled several times, crashing into the swarm of ants.
"Ahh!"
The survivors jumped out of the car, but the ants were faster. Their sharp mandibles tore through the air, severing heads with terrifying ease.
The screams and the gruesome sight nearly made Big Guo piss himself.
Bingwen, Hei Qian, Yu Baoyin, Si Hao, and Feng Ran all watched the horrific scene through binoculars, their throats tight with dread.
These ants were terrifying. They tore through the cars as though they were nothing more than paper.
Nanzhi and Lin Weihao frowned.
"Faster! Faster! They're closing in!" Big Guo yelled at the driver, his panic mounting.
They were the only ones left now.
Suddenly, something appeared in their line of sight.
"Big Guo! Big Guo! Look ahead!"
Big Guo squinted through the windshield and his eyes narrowed with cold determination. "Drive toward it!" he growled. I, Big Guo, will not die here!
He tossed an empty can to the two men in the back seat.
"You two, fill this with your blood!"
"What? Big Guo!" The two men were shocked by his demand. Was he insane?!
Big Guo's eyes turned bloodshot. "If you don't do it, we're all dead! Have you seen what those ants did to the others? Do you want to end up as ant food?!"
The two men exchanged grim looks, their teeth gritted in reluctant compliance. Big Guo was backed by his powerful brother, and if they defied him, their lives would be forfeit when they returned.
Weakness washed over them as they filled the can with their blood, and they quickly wrapped their wounds.
Big Guo grinned as he held the can triumphantly.
