The soldiers had offered to escort her to the hospital.

"I was on my way to the villages to transport vegetables and fruits to the supermarket when I saw the crash. I panicked and didn't notice much else," Lu Nanzhi answered, feigning distress.

The medic eyed the expertly wrapped bandages on his master's shoulder. "Miss, are you a nurse or a doctor? Your bandaging technique is impressive."

Lu Nanzhi shook her head. "I only know a little about first aid." She had learned the basics from a doctor before her regression.

The soldiers finally let her go, apologizing for the lengthy questioning and thanking her profusely.

As the truck disappeared into the distance, the leader of the soldiers felt a pang of disappointment at failing to convince Lu Nanzhi to come with them.

Because of her injuries, Lu Nanzhi changed course and drove six hours back to the city for better medical care.

Although her plans were ruined, and her hands throbbed with pain, her spirits soared—the system had unlocked a new function.
