I quickly gathered my things and headed to YS Media.

The towering building stretched into the sky, its glass facade reflecting the harsh sunlight, making me squint uncomfortably.

It seemed that Alex had contacted someone in advance. The moment I stepped into the lobby, someone approached me. A man in a well-fitted suit, looking sharp and professional, walked up and politely asked, "Are you Ms. Ashford?"

I nodded, and he gestured for me to follow him before leading me into the elevator. As the elevator ascended, my heartbeat quickened. After all, this was the first time I was formally handling something related to Mom, and I couldn't help feeling nervous.

The man guided me into an office, motioning for me to take a seat on the couch before introducing himself, "Ms. Ashford, nice to meet you. I'm Louis Walker, the director of this media agency. Mr. Hastings informed me that you'd be coming."

After his brief introduction, he turned on his laptop and pulled up some statistics from the past few days. Pointing at the charts on the screen, he explained, "Ms. Ashford, the online sentiment has improved significantly. Our PR team has been actively guiding public opinion, and so far, the results are promising."

I flipped through the report he handed me and scanned the dense graphs and figures that made my head spin. Still, I could see that many people were now speaking up for my mother.

Some believed she had been unfairly criticized and didn't deserve such harsh treatment, while others condemned Grandma for being cruel and unreasonable.

Seeing this, I finally let out a breath of relief.

Just as I was about to say something, the office door swung open. Alex walked in. When he saw me sitting there, he seemed a bit surprised. "Serena, you're here early."
