"Zo — Zoren?!"
William gasped as his proud heart instantly quivered, sinking into the pit of his stomach. He held his breath instinctively, his vicious gaze dilating.
What was Zoren doing here?
That question didn’t only cross William’s mind, but also the minds of everyone in the area. The bustling crowd fell into silence, eyes fixated on the towering figure standing right behind William Pierson. And, as usual, along with Zoren, were Benjamin and some of Zoren’s bodyguards.
"What is going on?" someone from the crowd whispered, afraid that Zoren would hear him despite the distance. "Why did he come down here?"
"Amazing..." Unlike the curious colleague, another person was in awe. His eyes gleamed as if meeting his idol for the first time. "This is the first time I’ve seen the big boss in my three-year career at this company. He is... different in person, indeed. Wow! That aura is definitely only legends have!"
That wasn’t surprising, as Zoren rarely used the main entrance of the building. Why would Zoren use the main entrance when he could just take the parking elevator straight to his office? The only time Zoren would come down here was when he needed to do an inspection, which he did annually. The same went for most of Zoren’s guests; it was more convenient and less of a hassle. This explained why the security in the parking space was more aware and careful about the people going in there. It was also why Atlas got in without any problem.
"What’s going to happen now? I think CEO Pierson just walked in at the wrong time." frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
"I guess he’s expecting Atlas Bennet, after all."
"I want to take a video. This is going to be amazing."
"Do you want to get scolded and fired? What happens in the company stays in the company. The best that can happen is getting terminated, but if you get sued... good luck."
"That — that — that..." The security guard at his station felt his knees wobble, his mouth opening and closing, unable to form a coherent sentence. Just moments ago, he had felt pleased that William was ordering his colleagues to escort Atlas and Allen out.
It only meant that the security guard could avoid getting punished! He had already heaved a sigh of relief, but now, with Zoren Pierson here, he felt as though his soul was trying to escape his mouth.
Knock knock.
The security guard flinched when he heard another tap on his desk. He slowly moved his shaky gaze to the person across from his station, his mouth falling open.
"Direc — Director Dean Pierson?" the security guard blurted out, watching Dean smile at him brightly.
’I’m screwed,’ the security guard felt his heart sink, clicking on Atlas’s name. As soon as he did, Allen’s name appeared as part of Atlas’s separate list.
