Because of the incident in the lobby, Zoren kindly insisted that Atlas and Allen stay in his office. Zoren and Benjamin remained for a while, but since their upcoming meeting, they had to leave to ensure everything was settled.
Of course, Zoren didn’t have to go, but he thought Atlas wanted some private time. So, out of courtesy, he went to the meeting room earlier and spent time messaging his wife.
"I should’ve known," Allen huffed, seated across from his boss. "Even before he graduated, he was already doing internships at Global Prime Logistics. Besides, he’s the heir. So, he doesn’t have to go through a real job hunt. Being the CEO is his actual first job. I never felt so poor for quite some time until now."
Another deep exhale escaped Allen as he looked at Atlas. For some reason, Atlas seemed busy with his phone.
’I wonder who he’s messaging? He rarely uses his phone, because whenever he needs something, he prefers calling,’ Allen thought, shaking his head as he realized he was getting distracted. "But then again, he’s still... amazing."
Despite the initial shock, the more Allen thought about it, the more he couldn’t help but feel proud. Looking at Atlas, his eyes shimmered as he clasped his hands together.
Atlas arched a brow when he noticed the positive energy coming from across the table. Lifting his eyes, all he saw was the blinding sparkle around Allen.
"What’s wrong with you?" he wondered, but Allen continued to glow. "Allen, get it together. If you’re angry at the security guard, go back there and go in and out of the building ten times. They’d be very pissed."
"Sir... I just realized that my boss is amazing!"
"Hmm?"
Allen beamed. "Sir, whatever you do in life, I’ll make sure to support you all the way! I’d be your loyal servant through and through!"
"..." Atlas’s already dead expression grew even more blank as he looked at his assistant. His mouth parted slightly, but he chose peace and closed it. Instead, Atlas ignored Allen and focused on his phone, continuing his lengthy message to Old Mrs. Pierson, which was written in an old-fashioned way to match her style.
He found a liking to this type of exchange.

Sometime later...
Shareholders and board members began arriving at the Pierson Corporation, one after another. They were all aware of today’s agenda, and thus, they arrived with a clear head, observing the situation. The chairwoman’s retirement was a huge event for the company, as it could mean another battle over the shares.
This meant there was a high possibility that Zoren might get kicked out.
How?
If Old Mrs. Pierson distributed her shares to the other branches of the family and not just to Zoren, that would give William Pierson some advantages. Right now, William was the only one who had actively shown interest in the leadership spot. Even if Old Mrs. Pierson gave William a fraction of her shares, everyone was aware that William had been secretly buying shares.
