"I still can’t believe this is happening," Penny grumbled, taking a mouthful of water, as it was the only thing she could drink. "I never thought I’d ever want to drink something stronger than water."
She rolled her eyes, glancing at the people in the limousine with them. "First Brother, you said you’re here for business purposes. Why are you in here, then?"
"Penny, since First Brother is very concerned about the Pierson Corporation, he wants to save not just on plane tickets, but also accommodation and transfers," Hugo happily filled her in, making Allen sigh in relief, as Hugo had saved him from explaining. "Isn’t he considerate??"
"..." Penny remained quiet, contemplating whether to summon the seven circles of hell or choose peace.
"It’s okay," Zoren reassured her. "Our accommodation is huge. There’s plenty of room."
"Renren, that’s not..." Penny wobbled and melted against her husband’s side. "Never mind that. I’m tired from the travel and all the stress. I just want to rest and eat something nice."
Zoren nodded, holding his wife reassuringly. When he looked away, his gaze inevitably caught Hugo’s. His smile faded slightly, but he still nodded at his second brother-in-law.
During their quiet exchange earlier in the plane, they chose to leave the discussion at that. Whatever Hugo had to say was already obvious, so Hugo offered a hand if Zoren wanted or needed someone to talk to.
"By the way, sir, why do I feel like we’re taking a lot of time to reach our destination?" Allen asked, looking out the window and then back at the others. "I think we just passed the main town or something."
Benjamin smirked proudly. "That’s because we’re staying on one of the islands here! After this, we’re still going to take a boat, and then another few minutes in a car until we reach the Pierson Rest House Mansion!"
Benjamin’s announcement earned different reactions from everyone.
Hugo: "What do you mean we’re still taking a boat and another car after that? Just when will this all end?"
Allen: "That... that’s a long ride."
Penny: "What do you mean, we?"
"Penny, why are you asking such a weird question?" Slater pouted. "Of course, it’s ’we.’ We’re staying in the same place. Second Brother just told you that."
"No way!" Penny gasped, her memory now a bit jumbled with her emotions. "You guys told me you’re not staying with us!"
"And that’s true," Hugo answered knowingly. "Why would we stay with you when we’ve got our own rooms?"
"!!!" Her eyes widened as she gazed up at Zoren, only to see him shrug and sigh helplessly. "Oh, Renren. Please save me."
Penny once again wobbled against her husband’s side, feeling her energy deplete every time there was a discussion with the group. But then again, it was Old Mrs. Pierson’s decision. Still, Penny couldn’t help but think that Old Mrs. Pierson should’ve chosen a different place for her brothers to stay.
This was a honeymoon for her and Zoren.
Of course, in a way, she wanted to enjoy it just for the two of them. Spending one lunch or one dinner with her brothers shouldn’t be a problem. However, knowing they would stay in the same place, she could already imagine they would just try to annoy the heck out of her.
"Oh!" Penny suddenly snapped out of her thoughts, looking up at Zoren. "Renren, where’s Mark? Now that I think about it, shouldn’t he be with us?"
