Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress novel Chapter 1320

Chapter 1320: Invitations for what?

Telling Max about Ginnie’s feelings was easy. However, one also needed to consider Ginnie’s feelings. If Lily just blurted it out to Max, he might only have the courage to pursue Ginnie because he knew he had a chance. While that might not be true, Lily and Penny knew it would feel that way to Ginnie.

Otherwise, Lily would’ve already told Max, given how frustrated she was with him.

But Ginnie could be very prideful, and the last thing she wanted was to feel pitied—especially by Max.

"I’ll kill him!" Lily announced, biting her handkerchief as if venting her frustration into the poor fabric.

"Don’t, young lady. You’d end up in prison," Wild advised, while Penny nodded in agreement.

"Then I’m going to hurt him!" Lily yelled through her tears. "I’m so angry! Penny, what am I going to do? Do you think Max doesn’t really like my poor baby Ginnie?"

"You’re really going to ask her, young lady?" Wild asked, but Penny answered anyway.

"He doesn’t. No doubt." Penny shook her head. "If he really liked Ginnie, why would he let her date my brother? Of all people, my brother?! I mean, I wouldn’t protest if the two of them ended up together, but my Second Brother isn’t ready for a relationship. He knows nothing -- He’s just existing at the moment!"

"I know, right?" Lily calmed down slightly, pleased that Penny was on the same page.

Lily wouldn’t have minded if Max set Ginnie up with someone else—but Hugo? Sure, Hugo was kind, but kindness wouldn’t feed anyone! What Ginnie needed was a stable man, not a crazy one who should probably be seeing a therapist.

"I knew it." Wild clicked his tongue continuously, shaking his head as he glanced between Penny and Lily. "Penny is not the right person to ask these kinds of questions."

"Why not, Uncle Wild?" Penny frowned, then added proudly, "Do you know how good my reputation is in this area? Every person I’ve advised about love has made up, and their relationships are only getting stronger."

Wild doubted that. But strangely, it was true.

Take Finn, for example. He went to Penny for love advice, and look at him now with Nina! If only Wild knew the full story, he might have had some faith in Penny. However, Penny had no idea that Finn and Nina had only made up because Finn had acted like an idiot after following Penny’s advice—forcing Nina to spell things out for him. Well, if making someone act stupid counted as help, then sure, Penny helped.

"Besides, if I were in Max’s situation, I’d bring forth the inferno itself to get my hands on Renren," Penny continued, making Lily and Wild stare at her. That didn’t sound right. "No way in hell would I set him up on a date just so he could fall in love with another woman. Do you even know what I pray for every night and day? May he lose his sight again if he looks at another woman, may he lose his teeth if the reason for his smile is another woman, and may the heavens take him if he’s not meant for me."

"Oh, wow." Lily, who had been sobbing just moments ago, suddenly stopped. "That’s intense."

"You’re crazy," Wild added. "I’m so glad I wasn’t born in your time."

"My point is, Max doesn’t like Ginnie. If he did, he would fight for her right off the bat. No excuses, no noble sacrifices. Just a full-blown war." Penny nodded to herself, convinced her twisted reasoning was completely sound. "So in conclusion, he doesn’t deserve Ginnie at all. Lily, just let the guy be. He deserves it."

Lily nodded, convinced. "I promised Ginnie that if we’re still single at thirty, I’ll marry her. I can just shower her with love until then."

’Surely, women in this generation are crazier,’ he thought, shaking his head mildly. ’I can’t believe I’m listening to this while that poor guy they’re talking about is probably just trying to show how much he likes their friend.’

’Well, they’re adults,’ he told himself, choosing to enjoy his barbecue rather than get involved in their tangled misunderstandings and absurd reasoning. ’They’ll figure it out eventually.’

"Invitations for what?" she blurted out, staring at them. She didn’t recall agreeing to any events, let alone this many, especially with the upcoming cyber competition Prime Group was hosting. ƒrēewebnovel.com
