Patricia scribbled on a piece of paper out of boredom. She knew she had plenty of work, but somehow, her brain wasn’t functioning the way she wanted it to. Just then, she noticed a figure approaching the CEO’s office.
"Uh, excuse me, you can’t —" Patricia gasped, momentarily mesmerized at the young man standing across from her. Her mouth fell as her cheeks turned pinkish.
He’s... my type.
Her daze, however, was quickly shattered when the "young man" spoke. "What?"
"Huh?" Patricia blinked, the look of admiration slowly changing into dismay. "Penny?!"
Standing across the reception area was Penny. However, unlike the usual smart casual attire she would wear in the office, she was dressed in a loose shirt and equally loose jeans, with a chain hanging at the side. But that wasn’t what surprised Patricia; it was the short wig she was wearing, topped with a cap. There were some fake piercings at the end of her lips and her ear.
Patricia moved closer to get a better look. "Oh, my God. It’s really you!" she gasped again, disbelief clear in her eyes.
Penny also had a large beauty mark on her cheekbone, which looked more like an unsightly mole.
"Are you okay?" Patricia asked, rushing out from behind her desk. "Did you hit your head last night?"
Penny deadpanned. "I didn’t hit my head. I’m going out for a bit. If anyone asks where I am, tell them I’m busy."
"Mark," she continued, as Mark stood up from his chair. "Let’s go."
Without further explanation, Penny walked away, and Mark quietly followed her. freewebnøvel.com
Meanwhile, in the CEO’s department, a young man was spotted walking out of what seemed to be the CEO’s office. Mark, Penny’s bodyguard, followed closely behind.
"Who is that?" Shawn whispered, furrowing his brows.
Hayley, on the other hand, shook her head. "I have no idea." Then she paused, her eyes widening. "Is it... is it... her husband?!"
Her mouth dropped as her eyes darted between the man and the others. Teddy and Shawn exchanged worried glances, their complexions paling.
Although the man looked a little younger and shorter than they expected, he seemed to fit the description of Penny’s husband. Penny’s husband was known to be a good-for-nothing, and judging by his clothes, he looked like a deadbeat with no job.
Mark, following him, only raised more suspicions.
Mark only followed Penny. He was her shadow, and for him to leave with another person, it wouldn’t be surprising if he was leading "him" to the penthouse. After all, they knew Penny was there and hadn’t come down.
"Oh, my God..." Hayley whispered in horror, hanging her head low. "I never thought I’d encounter this dilemma so soon."
Penny was a good boss, but as her assistants, could they stomach the fact that their boss was unfaithful to her marriage?
Even if it was "justified," because compared to Zoren, no man could match him.
Perhaps Atlas Bennet, but that man was already her brother.
It was still morally wrong no matter what!

"Miss Penny, why are you wearing a wig?" Mark, seated in the driver’s seat, cast Penny a look.
