Pampered by my three brothers: the return of the neglected heiress novel Chapter 646

Chapter 646: Just a normal day

Two days later...

Penny moaned as she opened her eyes, catching her husband walking quietly around the bedroom.

"Renren?" she called, bringing Zoren’s actions to a halt. He glanced at her before walking over to the side of her bed. "Going now?"

Zoren smiled and nodded. "It’s still early, so sleep some more."

"Hmm." Penny hummed, moving closer to him until she was hugging his waist. "It’s so early."

A shallow breath slipped past Zoren’s curled lips as he stroked his wife’s head gently. It had been two days since they returned to the Bennet Mansion. The first day was peaceful until night came, and Slater barged into their bedroom, asking how to erase Sven’s blood from his.

That night didn’t end well for either Penny or Slater; they ended up wrestling for an entirely different reason while Zoren quietly drank his tea on the couch.

The following day was almost the same. Or rather, it was even quieter if he didn’t count the prank Slater woke up to that morning. Since Zoren was on vacation and helping to look after his wife, he was stuck with her family, which wasn’t the problem. It was how Charles’s and Haines’s fishing trip was brought up. Charles wanted to cancel it because of Penny’s condition, but Penny urged them to continue, insisting she was fine.

After a long discussion, Zoren found himself going with his father-in-law and Haines. Hugo and Slater would come as well. So now, even before dawn broke, they were already leaving.

"We’ll be back later," he said to Penny, patting her shoulder lightly. "Just rest for today, okay?"

"Mhm." Penny let out a sleepy hum and snuggled deeper under the blanket. She partially opened her eyes and offered a subtle smile. "Have fun."

Zoren smiled back. "I will."

Having said that, Zoren tucked her in and lulled her to sleep. Once her breathing became heavy and she fell back asleep, he planted a kiss on her forehead and left the bedroom.

"Ahh..." Slater yawned in the back of the van. "... it’s so early. I’m still sleepy."

"Sleep some more," said Hugo, glancing at Slater in the back. "You brought a pillow, use it."

Slater’s face soured, but it was too early for him to argue. So, spreading the blanket and placing the pillow he brought with him, he prepared to sleep some more.

"Today, I’m going to catch the biggest fish and break my record," Charles declared from the front seat, a little excited about the day’s agenda. He turned to Haines and smirked. "Haines, want to make a bet?"

Haines thought about it for a second and nodded. "Sure."

"Hehehe," Charles smirked proudly, as if he already knew Haines would never beat him. He then looked back at the seat behind them. "Zoren, want to compete with me?"

"Would winning also mean gaining your favor?"

Charles’s proud smirk twitched a little at his son-in-law’s inquiry. But before he could answer, Hugo raised a hand.

"Let me join too."

Meanwhile, Hugo chuckled as he looked at Zoren. The latter raised his brows and faced his second brother, wondering why Hugo was giving off this mischievous energy. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
