"Jonathan Pierson... he’s not here," Finn said, furrowing his brows. "Don’t you find that strange? A man who was once so publicly involved with the Pierson family is not here in this lifetime."

A glint flickered across Finn’s eyes as he leaned his arm against the edge of the table, a twisted smirk plastered on his face. "Penelope, doesn’t that alarm you a bit? There’s only one possibility for why this happened."

That was, Jonathan Pierson was one of them.

A moment of silence fell between them, their eyes locked on each other. Finn arched a brow at her as he leaned back while Penny’s stoic expression remained.

"If you’re wondering how that’s possible, well, Jonathan Pierson is a bastard of William Pierson," Finn explained to clear up the confusion. "He was taken home to fight—well, Zoren Pierson. That man... is a scary man."
