Butler Jen waited for the brothers to return, feeling a slight worry. However, when he saw Atlas smiling while Slater chattered in his ear, he heaved a sigh of relief.
"Why am I so worried?" he wondered to himself, smiling. "I’ve never seen them fight."
Well, everyone in this household had seen Penny and Slater fight. They argued all the time; there wasn’t a day when Penny came home and didn’t pick a fight with him. It had always been like that, but no matter how intense their fights got, Penny and Slater would always make up.
"It seems like everything is settled," Butler Jen greeted the two as they approached the kitchen entrance from the garage.
"Settled?" Slater scrunched up his nose and glared at Atlas. "I haven’t forgiven him."
Atlas, on the other hand, ignored Slater and smiled at Butler Jen. "I’ll be in my room for a short break, but I’ll have to leave in an hour."
"Oh. Should I prepare your lunch, First Young Master?"
"No need for that." Atlas shook his head. "I just told you so you don’t have to prepare lunch for me."
"Oh... okay." Butler Jen nodded as Atlas walked away. "First Young Master, should I call your driver back?"
Atlas halted and glanced over his shoulder. "There’s no need for that. I’m driving myself to the office today."
"Oh, alright..." Butler Jen nodded as Atlas resumed his steps, walking away from them.
Both Butler Jen and Slater didn’t ask questions, as there were days when Atlas would drive himself to the office. It wasn’t that he wouldn’t use a driver; they had just grown used to Atlas’s habits. Thus, when Atlas was out of sight, Butler Jen faced Slater.
"Third Young Master, your desserts are still on the table. Should I replace them with a new batch?"
"Nope!" Slater shook his head. "I’m off somewhere. My First Brother ruined my mood by criticizing my car. I’ll just get angry if I stay and think about his audacity."
Butler Jen smiled wryly, tilting his head to the side. "Please be patient with your First Brother. I’m sure that even though he’s not showing it, he is very worried about what happened to Sir Allen."
"That’s why I’m being lenient with him, hmp!"
"Third Young Master, why was he looking for your car, though?" Butler Jen asked, only to see Slater shrug.
"He’s losing his mind, that’s all." Slater beamed at him before jumping to Butler Jen’s side. "Please look after him and stay away from him for now. First Brother is starting to lose it."
"Haha." Butler Jen chuckled, only to remember something. "Did he ask you to show your other car?"
Slater’s smile stiffened. "Huh?"
"Didn’t you have two red sports cars?" Butler Jen tilted his head to the side. "Now that I think of it, I haven’t seen it in a while."
"Hehe. Butler Jen, please don’t mention that to my First Brother," Slater laughed awkwardly, almost whispering. "James borrowed it for a while."
Deep lines appeared between Butler Jen’s brows. "He borrowed it? You let him?"
