Penny opened her eyes, holding her phone in front of her. She pulled the blanket over her bare chest, watching her husband hurriedly walk around their bedroom wearing only his pants. His inner dress shirt was still left unbuttoned.

"Did you bedazzle your in-laws as planned?" the person on the other end of the line, Lily, asked excitedly. "Come on, come on. "Lily, how did you hear him?" she gasped. "I barely heard him answer."

"Thank you for helping her yesterday," Zoren expressed as he marched toward the bed. Propping his knee on the edge of the bed, he bent slightly toward Penny. "I’m going now. Breakfast is already ready. Eat before you go."

"It’s alright. I’m already late anyway, even if I don’t," he reassured with a smile, his face bright even though he had already missed two meetings after oversleeping. "Take care on your way to the office."

Having said that, Zoren lowered his head for another short, yet deep, kiss. He then reluctantly parted from her, making a quick trip to the walk-in closet to fix his shirt before he left.

Penny, on the other hand, idled on the bed, watching her husband as he bid her one last goodbye. Once the door shut behind him, her eyes fell on her phone where she could hear Lily giggling.

"Lily, I thank you for your help yesterday, but my entire body is sore..." Penny winced, squeezing her thigh as she felt numb from the neck down. "I thought he’d kill me last night."

"Hihihi. Penny, it just goes to show how much your husband appreciates you~"

"He appreciates me so much I feel like he’s going to break my legs."

Lily giggled even more while Penny rolled her eyes. "Penny, come on! Some women have to make an extra effort for their partners to desire them. So, take this as something you should be grateful for!"
