Xavia served Lily a bowl of soup. “I made this with fresh chicken that I bought from the market today morning. I was worried that you might not like the taste of medicinal herbs, so I did not put any in. I simply added some mushrooms and stewed it. Try some, it’s very delicious.”

Lily shook her head. “Thank you, but I don’t need to drink this.”

Xavia thought that Lily was in a bad mood. She put down the bowl in her hand and held Lily’s hand as she said, “Don’t think too much about it. The fact that you are alive, healthy, and free is already the best form of happiness. Both Stefan and you are still young; if you take good care of your body, you will be able to get pregnant again soon.”
