Just as Xavia was finishing her meal, she heard Louisa’s familiar voice calling from outside, “Miss Lockhart…? Are you in…?”
Slowly making her way to the window, she then looked down… and sure enough, Louisa was there. This prompted Xavia to reply, “I’m here… Is there anything I can help you with…?”
“Yes… Lady Burton said she wanted to talk to you, and that she’d appreciate it if you met up with her as soon as possible…

It was evident that Zivon thought that she and Keith had been at it again all night long. After all, not only was her body weak, but the fact that she was wearing long sleeves probably meant that she had some marks to hide…
Regardless, the now blushing Xavia instantly attempted to explain, “N-no… I’m just sick-”
“There’s no need to explain yourself. I don’t want to know,” replied Zivon as he gave her a deep stare before continuing to head upstairs, leaving Xavia momentarily stunned on the spot. It felt like she had just been stabbed in the heart. To think that the once gentle and caring man was now being this cold toward her…
