Chapter 333: Chapter 333 Heaven-Sent Supplies
So the next afternoon, Lu Hao pushed open the door to Liang Jiuhui’s office.
“What? A warehouse full of supplies? Where?”
Liang Jiuhui stood up abruptly, his three rapid questions revealing his astonishment. Lu Hao actually said they had discovered a warehouse full of supplies outside their base?!
“Xiao Jin is already guarding it, just afraid someone else might find it,” Lu Hao said without changing his expression.
“Good, good, good, I’ll go with Sibo and join you right away,”
Liang Jiuhui joyfully grabbed his coat, ready to leave, but then noticed Lu Hao still leisurely sitting on the sofa, his long legs showing no intention of standing up.
...
“Ahem, Chief, Crystal Cores,”
Sheng Jing reminded him in a low voice from behind. Liang Jiuhui’s reaction today was somewhat slow. For Su Jin and Lu Hao, it was clear—no Crystal Cores, no deal!
“Right, right, I will send the Crystal Cores to you later, rest assured,”
The moment he heard about the supplies, he had gotten so excited he’d forgotten about this crucial detail. Although he wasn’t yet sure how many Crystal Cores he would give, he planned to decide after seeing the supplies.
As expected, once he heard this, Lu Hao stood up and then took Liang Jiuhui and the others towards the warehouse he had mentioned.
“How did you find it?”
Liang Jiuhui couldn’t help but ask in the car.
“We discovered it during a mission today, in a warehouse,” Lu Hao narrated.
Early that morning, his family had set out as usual, taken on a task, and found a warehouse that seemed untouched. After clearing out the zombies from there, Su Jin started moving things outside.
He and Su Xiangzhe had come back to inform Liang Jiuhui about it, part of the plan they had mapped out in their Space the night before.
“Just don’t know how many Crystal Cores Liang Jiuhui will give us after seeing the stash of supplies,”
In a courtyard piled with zombie corpses, Lin Xiuyuan said while using his Special Ability to kill the incessantly arriving zombies.
“We’ll take whatever we can get, and in a few days, another batch will mature in the Space,” Su Jin said.
After much difficulty, they had found this suitable place to store supplies. It was originally a warehouse with both a normal and a cold storage. Perhaps it was too remote, as there were no signs of human presence apart from zombies, fortifying their plan to keep the supplies there.
And Su Jin had already begun “staging the scene.”
The smell inside the warehouse was not pleasant; many previously stored items had dried up. They knew these were the residues left after food had spoiled and rotted away.
However, this was for the best, confirming that not everything was fresh and clean.
Su Jin took out half of the rice and wheat previously bought online and from grain markets, which alone was enough to fill the normal storage.
In another room reeking of smell, she placed half a room’s worth of eggs from the Space, sorted by her grandparents the night before. Placing the eggs amongst the dried-up and foul-smelling remnants, she figured no one would suspect anything.
Seeing there was still room, she took out rice, various beans, and assorted grains previously collected from the supermarket and filled every available space until it was fully packed before walking out.
“We can’t store the rest; only these for now,” Su Jin said.
The corn and fruit in the Space were too fresh, as were the numerous animals and poultry; those would have to be slowly consumed within the Space.
Even so, when Liang Jiuhui and his people arrived, they were still astonished. Was there really a whole warehouse full of grain here?!
Why had they overlooked this place before?
