“If it hadn’t been for her, Kieran wouldn’t have felt let down by me, he wouldn’t have turned his back on our love! Eunice exclaimed, her voice growing thick with emotion
“It was all because of that d’m Madelyn” As Eunice spoke, her eyes began to darken with a vengeful glint. her tone thickening with bitterness as if she was biting down hard on each word. “I need to find a way to make her sufler, to ensure she experiences pain tenfold, no, a hundredfold, a thousandfold more than what I endured! She needs to pay for every bit of my suffering!”
“Indeed, if I were in your shoes, I wouldn’t let her off lightly either,” Janessa replied, nodding in feigned agreement, while secretly she was reveling in amusement internally.
It seems as if there is a brewing storm of drama between the two sisters. Perfect, this would provide a good spectacle to sit
back and watch
After this, Eunice didn’t touch another drop of alcohol; instead, she settled the bill and left the bar.
Janessa watched her leave, the smile on her face growing wider with each step Eunice took.
Off to the side, Hayden observed everything unfolding and couldn’t resist a chuckle, “Wow, Janessa, your knack for manipulating others to do your bidding is truly remarkable.”
Janessa laughed in response, her tone teasing. “Don’t put it like that; I certainly didn’t advise her on anything. Whatever issues those two sisters have, they’re certainly none of my business.”
With that, Janessa confidently walked away in her high heels, leaving the bar with a swagger.
Meanwhile, over at Thornton Group, after successfully navigating through the recent crisis, the company was now running smoothly again.
Even more heartening was the fact that since resolving the issue, the company’s reputation had significantly improved. Suddenly, order volumes had doubled compared to before.
The stocks that had previously plummeted were now all sold off by Madelyn. Before long, the losses incurred were nearly completely recovered, even exceeding the initial figures.
This remarkable turnaround had successfully catalyzed a financial boon for Thornton Corporation.
When Derek heard the news while recuperating in the hospital, he was overjoyed. His recovery seemed to speed up, and soon he was well enough to join the celebrations at the company.
Furthermore, a grand celebration was organized for all the employees, complete with small tokens of appreciation distributed to everyone.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and camaraderie.
Yet, amidst this general euphoria, Madelyn was not completely swept away by the excitement. In the back of her mind, she remembered there was still one unresolved issue.
Despite the fact that the debacle at the pharmaceutical manufacturing factory had been settled without causing significant damage to the company, Madelyn was not one to easily forgive or forget the instigator behind it all–Janessa.

With this in mind, Madelyn grabbed her purse and left the company, driving directly to Sherritt Group.
At that time, Cheryl, dressed in her professional attire, was in her father’s office delivering a work report. After finishing, she seized the opportunity to advocate for her mother.
“Dad,” she implored, “please believe Mom. She really didn’t know that stranger we saw that day. I’m sure she’s innocent. Why won’t you listen to her side of the story?”
“Don’t say another word!”
Upon hearing Cheryl bring up the matter, Rupert’s expression darkened with irritation, his forehead furrowing deeply. “Tve decided to divorce your mother, that’s final,” he declared. “If you continue to interfere, don’t blame me if you find yourself ousted from the Song family as well.”
“Dad…” Cheryl’s voice faltered, but it was clear that her father was not open to further discussion.
Ultimately, Cheryl had no choice but to exit the office, her heart heavy with helplessness and despair.
Lately, her mother had been overly dramatic about the situation, crying incessantly and begging Cheryl to plead her case to her father. However, the misunderstanding from her father’s perspective was deep and seemingly insurmountable by mere words.
The company had been plagued by one problem after another recently.
One might say that over these past few days, Cheryl had been so preoccupied that she barely had time to cat or sleep properly. It was utterly exhausting.
Just then, her phone rang.
Cheryl pulled out her phone, noticed an incoming call from Madelyn, and quire answered it, a surge of anxiety washing over her. Ms. Thornton, it’s you,” Cheryl greeted with evident. ect, wary that Madelyn might be calling to stir up more trouble.
Madelyn responded with a casual smile, “Ms. Sherritt, I’m at the café just across from your office building. If it’s convenient, why don’t we meet and talk?”
“Sure. Cheryl nodded, then ended the call.
Yet, a sense of unease began to creep into her thoughts.
What could Madelyn possibly want from me? Surely, it isn’t an issue with the project?
“With these thoughts, Cheryl stepped into the elevator.
Soon, she arrived at the café and immediately noticed Madelyn.”
Madelyn’s presence was undeniably compelling, almost impossible to overlook. She caught sight of Cheryl and greeted her with a gentle smile, “Please, have a seat.”
Cheryl took a seat accordingly. The waiter brought over two glasses of water and informed them, “Your” coffee will be ready shortly, please wait a moment.” He then stepped away.
