Gong Chen’s breath followed his words, ironing Lin Zhiyi’s cheeks.
She turned her head away with some guilt.
Indeed, he knew everything.
Lin Zhiyi carefully moved a step to the side, trying to avoid his breath, but as she turned, an arm appeared in front of her.
She could only stand still, after all, the floor she was going to was about to be reached.
But Gong Chen seemed to see through her intentions; he leaned in, and his breath fervently sprayed upon her face.
She could even feel his scorching breath flowing beneath her nose.
Her breath, her body, it was all enveloped by his presence, making sweat break out on her back.
As she was startled, he lifted his hand to brush the hair off her cheeks, cupping her face.
"Hmm?" Gong Chen asked in a deep voice.
"I... I..."
Lin Zhiyi didn’t know what to say at the moment.
"Since you mentioned I stuffed the room card, shouldn’t we do something about it?"
"..."
Lin Zhiyi suddenly looked up; he even knew about the room card!
Although his voice was so calm, she felt an unprecedented pressure, and even her breathing quickened.
Gong Chen half-closed his eyes, the light dancing in them, and softly said, "Confused?"
"No..."
Lin Zhiyi was about to deny it when he turned to stare at her, leaning in, and their lips touched.
Ding—the elevator arrived.
Lin Zhiyi thought she was saved and pushed the person in front of her.
However, he just slightly raised his eyebrows, hoisted her up, spun around, and closed the elevator door.
"You!"
Lin Zhiyi truly felt she was still too naïve to handle Gong Chen; this was clearly like a lamb walking into a tiger’s den.
She looked at her legs, pressed against his waist, and angrily pounded his shoulder.
Not only did he not seem to mind the pain, but his gaze also grew more intense.
In the struggle, the elevator reached the top floor and, as the door opened, an autumn breeze blew in.
It wasn’t the season for flowers to bloom, but the cold wind carried a scent of flowers.
Lin Zhiyi’s body shivered slightly, catching a glimpse of the garden’s blossoms in the corner of her eye.
She was a little stunned; then, Gong Chen put her down, leading the still-distracted her into the garden.
The sunken semi-enclosed seats made one feel as though they were lying in a sea of flowers.
"Sit down; it’s like a pyramid scheme downstairs."
"Okay."
Lin Zhiyi wanted to laugh but felt she needed to be serious, so she held it in and sat down.
Indeed, she needed to give it some time to make a scene.
Not long after, a waiter brought over a small brazier and some Chinese pastries.
After the tea was ready, Gong Chen poured a cup for Lin Zhiyi.
"Have some tea to clear the alcohol from your breath; no rush for anything else."
"Uncle, how did you know I had been drinking?" Lin Zhiyi looked at Gong Chen in surprise.
Gong Chen paused, holding the cup, and looked at her with meaningful eyes.
"I tasted it."
At those words, Lin Zhiyi’s cheeks flushed red, and even sitting outside, she felt so hot she wanted to take her jacket off.
She hurriedly gulped down a big mouthful of tea and then stuck out her tongue the next second.
"Hot, hot..."
As she covered her mouth, the person across from her moved closer, seeming to sigh as he pinched her chin.
"Open your mouth."
