Li Huan picked up the room card, not bothering to look at it carefully before putting it in his pocket.
"Nice, you’re really something, even preparing the room for me. I’m heading back then; just got off the plane and heard you guys had an incident. My suitcase is still at the nurse’s station."
"Uh-huh."
Gong Chen gave him a glance but didn’t say much more.
After Li Huan left, Gong Chen had Chen Jin assign someone to follow him.
Suddenly, the room quieted down again.
Lin Zhiyi was somewhat puzzled, "Uncle, what room card was that?"
"Hotel room card."
It was as though he said nothing, clearly not wanting to elaborate.
Lin Zhiyi pouted and reached out to tidy up the food on the table.
"Come here."
Gong Chen moved his wheelchair and pointed to the stool in front of him.
Lin Zhiyi, not wanting the hassle, simply sat down, "What is it?"
Suddenly, Gong Chen leaned closer to her, and she froze momentarily. When she tried to move away, he gripped her chin.
His grip wasn’t strong, just enough to pull her face towards him.
Lin Zhiyi thought of the kiss they had shared earlier, frowning and dodging, her cheeks flushing unnaturally.
Not until she felt the swelling on her cheeks turn icy did she realize Gong Chen was applying medicine to her.
She quickly lowered her gaze, hiding the thoughts that shouldn’t have been there a moment ago.
But Gong Chen noticed, looking at her awkward demeanor with a half-smile, "Relax, I can’t indeed kiss this face right now... it’s swollen."
Hearing this, Lin Zhiyi’s hands clenched on her knees, her face turning even redder.
She glared at Gong Chen, "Uncle, that’s not funny at all! I can do it myself!"
Lin Zhiyi reached for the ointment, but Gong Chen dodged to the side. She stumbled over the wheelchair and ended up lying across his legs.
Gong Chen looked down, his hand holding the ointment slowly clasping tight as his gaze, against the light, grew more intense.
Lin Zhiyi was very beautiful, not just her face, but her whole body exuded a carefully carved delicacy.
When she leaned forward, the loose neckline of her hospital gown revealed an irresistible charm, and although she was wearing underwear, the overflowing abundance seemed ready to burst forth, igniting even more passion.
Gong Chen deliberately looked away.
But Lin Zhiyi’s hair, tucked behind her ears, cascaded down, lightly brushing over his pants, making it hard for him to keep his thoughts clear and straight.
Lin Zhiyi did not notice the change in the man’s gaze and reached for the ointment until she felt his scalding palm against her waist.
She looked up hesitantly at the man, and after catching him purposely avoiding her gaze, she looked down and angrily grabbed at her neckline.
"Did you see?" Lin Zhiyi quickly sat back on the stool.
"Uh-huh," Gong Chen nodded truthfully.
"You..."
Now he was being honest, when normally he couldn’t be bothered to utter an extra word in explanation.
Lin Zhiyi, frustrated, got up and wrapped herself tight in the blanket.
Gong Chen, with his back to her, curved his lips into a smile, capped the ointment, and casually tidied the trash on the table.
When the person behind him calmed down, he slowly began, "It’s not the first time."
Lin Zhiyi instinctively remembered the warmth-sharing moments in the mine. Flustered and angry, she protested, "I was wearing clothes then!"
It’s not like they were sticking together without any clothes on!
Gong Chen turned his wheelchair, slightly propping up his chin, saying meaningfully, "Indeed, you were. Go to sleep early, I’m leaving."
After the door closed, Lin Zhiyi rolled over, thinking to herself that she had indeed been wearing clothes!
She closed her eyes, then suddenly thought of something, quickly got up, and opened the wardrobe – there lay the clothes she had worn out of the mine.
The underwear Liu He had bought her.
Just a layer of gauze!
Almost the same as naked.
Lin Zhiyi shut the door forcefully and buried her head in the blankets.
...
The hotel.
Li Huan, looking somewhat tired, opened the door and found the room in disarray from the entrance to the inside.
Ladies’ high heels, a man’s coat, even a woman’s lace panties were hanging on a black motorcycle helmet.
Upon seeing the helmet clearly, Li Huan froze on the spot.
It was custom-made for Li He, and even had the words he had specifically written on it.
Safe trip wherever you go.
But wasn’t Li He supposed to be recuperating?
With confusion, Li Huan walked closer, and that’s when he heard the sounds of a man and a woman entangled in passion.
Li Huan looked at Gong Chen with bitterness, accepted the cigarette but couldn’t even light the lighter. freewebnσvel.cѳm
