Wedding dress?
When Lin Zhiyi heard those two words, she only felt ironic.
Including the time Wanqiu tried on the wedding dress, this was already the second occasion.
Both times involving Gong Chen’s women.
It was as if without her witness, the wedding couldn’t proceed.
Lin Zhiyi looked at Sang Ran, who was smiling so happily and simply, without the schemes of Song Wanqiu, sincerely inviting her.
Because of this, Lin Zhiyi felt even more like a villain.
She was about to find an excuse to decline when her phone vibrated.
Suddenly, she had a bad premonition.
Sure enough, it was a message from Liu He.
"Old Mr. Gong asked me to help prepare Lao San and Miss Sang’s engagement feast."
A sense of suffocation overwhelmed her.
Whether Liu He would offend the Sang Family and the Gong Family, or remain calm and composed, all depended on her attitude.
Lin Zhiyi trembled as she sent a message.
"Got it."
Sang Ran seemed to notice something and asked with concern, "Zhiyi, what’s wrong?"
Lin Zhiyi took a deep breath and raised her eyes with a faint smile, "It’s nothing, I’ll come with you to choose the wedding dress."
"Thank you, I’ll have my brother treat you to a meal another day," Sang Ran blinked.
"Sure."
Lin Zhiyi didn’t actually hear what she was saying and just nodded blankly.
Sang Ran immediately stood up, "Then that’s settled, I’ll contact you later."
"Okay."
Lin Zhiyi watched Sang Ran leave, then turned back to the office only to be surrounded by colleagues.
"Who is that lady? Her car almost matches Third Young Master’s, she looks very wealthy and noble."
"The key is she’s low-key, no brand names from head to toe, everything is custom-made."
Lin Zhiyi interrupted her colleagues’ inquiries, "You’ll know soon enough."
True to her word.
In the evening, under the beautiful scenery of fiery skies reflected off the snow, the giant screen in the square displayed the happy news jointly announced by the Gong Family and the Sang Family.
The official photo was one carefully chosen by Sang Ran from the amusement park.
Castle fireworks blooming only for two.
The prince and princess happily ever after, an unchanging end.
Gong Chen deserved it, and so did Sang Ran.
Lin Zhiyi withdrew her gaze and turned to walk in the opposite direction.
When she reached the intersection, the sound of a car horn came from behind.
Lin Zhiyi stopped, and a car stopped in front of her, the window rolled down, revealing a pair of smiling phoenix eyes looking at her.
"Trouble falls from the sky, and Xiao Ran said I owe you a meal," Sang Li chuckled.
Lin Zhiyi snorted, "I was joking with Miss Sang, you don’t have to take it to heart."
Sang Li’s gaze swept lightly across Lin Zhiyi’s face, then suddenly opened the car door.
"Let’s go, otherwise I can’t explain myself."
Lin Zhiyi initially wanted to decline, but considering Old Mr. Gong’s threat, she thought it necessary to establish a good relationship with Sang Li in advance.
"Okay, but I’m treating."
"Alright." Sang Li nodded, indicating for Lin Zhiyi to get into the car.
On the way to the restaurant, Lin Zhiyi kept asking Sang Li about his taste preferences.
Sang Li laughed as he spoke.
Lin Zhiyi put down her phone, "Mr. Sang, what are you laughing at?"
"It’s quite interesting how seriously you’re inquiring about my tastes," Sang Li chuckled, "But I still prefer you calling me ’brother.’"
"I don’t think so, it’s weird."
