Lin Zhiyi was stunned for a moment, then struggled fiercely.
But it only took one hand for Gong Chen to subdue her, his other hand even finding time to pinch out a cigarette.
Lin Zhiyi cursed angrily, "Are you sick?"
Gong Chen didn’t answer her, but coldly stared at the young man.
"Get lost."
"What right do you have to make me leave? I’m a guest invited by Miss Lin, and Miss Lin hasn’t even spoken yet. Do you know what fair competition means?" the young man retorted dissatisfiedly.
Lin Zhiyi nodded slightly, made a gesture to get up, but as soon as she stood up, Gong Chen pulled her back into his arms.
His hand supported her waist and stomach, pressing slightly, with the warmth of his palm seeping through the fabric, ironing her skin.
Just as she was about to struggle, the man stared at her with pitch-black eyes, his slender fingertips already hooked on the hem of her shirt, even unintentionally caressing the skin around her waist.
Lin Zhiyi trembled all over.
Gong Chen leaned in close and whispered in her ear, a voice only the two of them could hear, "I don’t mind competing."
Lin Zhiyi bit her lip hard, not wanting to make any inappropriate sounds.
Gong Chen glanced at Chen Jin at the door.
Regaining his serious demeanor, Chen Jin turned and walked in, grabbing the young man by the back of the neck.
"Come, take a walk with me."
The young man stiffened his neck, suddenly feeling as if it was going to break, and could only nod.
"Alright, alright, I’ll leave now."
As he was stiffly about to follow Chen Jin, Lin Zhiyi glanced at her phone, ninety-eight percent.
Just a bit more and she would have succeeded.
Ignoring Gong Chen’s control, she gritted her teeth and struggled to her feet.
"Don’t leave!" Lin Zhiyi angrily looked at Gong Chen, "You have no right to control me."
Chen Jin was also startled by her scream, unsure what to do for a moment, and could only look towards Gong Chen.
Under the dim lighting, Gong Chen slowly moved in front of Lin Zhiyi, his ambiguous top light obscured.
Standing backlight, his hair shimmered, making the emotions swirling in his eyes appear even more intense.
As he approached, Lin Zhiyi instinctively stepped back and hid her clenched phone behind her.
But she was too slow, and Gong Chen reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her towards him.
Instantly, the phone slipped from her hand.
With a smack, the phone fell to the ground, the screen suddenly lighting up, the progress bar stopping at ninety-nine percent.
Suddenly realizing something, the young man didn’t even care about the possibility of his neck being twisted, immediately turning on his phone.
Then, he glared at Lin Zhiyi and aggressively tapped the screen: "Bitch! You tricked me!"
As he cursed, the progress bar dimmed and stalled.
Lin Zhiyi’s face turned pale; she was so close!
She lunged at the young man like a madwoman, reaching for his phone.
But Gong Chen restrained her body from behind, commanding Chen Jin, "Take it out, delete anything that shouldn’t exist."
"No! Stop! Let go of me!"
Lin Zhiyi screamed hoarsely, her voice cracking, but her body couldn’t move at all.
She could only watch helplessly as the young man was led away by Chen Jin, all evidence disappearing in that moment.
She drooped her shoulders dejectedly, no longer struggling, standing ashen in place.
Not until Gong Chen turned her around did she finally look up at him.
"You did that to my phone on purpose just now, didn’t you?"
Gong Chen lowered his eyes, not even bothering to come up with an excuse to appease her.
"Yes, I’ve already warned you not to mess around."
