Gabrielle looked at me for a long moment before nodding in agreement.

After going downstairs, I was about to hail a taxi back to school when I received a call from Jane.

"Will, the building manager, and a female resident just had a fight, and I think someone got hurt. I'm kind of scared..."

"What?" I was stunned.

I originally planned to return to school first and then deal with the issues at the apartment tomorrow, but things escalated much sooner than expected.

"Jane, stay in your room and don't come out. I'm heading over right now!"

"Okay, Will. I won't leave my room. Don't worry about me."

She was always obedient and cautious, never doing anything reckless.

I hung up and immediately called Quintus. As I turned, I saw him standing by a tree in a windbreaker not far from the flower bed, smoking a cigarette. He looked both stylish and cool.

But I couldn't afford to admire him at the moment. I nodded to him briefly before hailing a taxi straight to the apartment.

I had just acquired the building, and if it gained a bad reputation, it would be a huge problem.

I saw those two blond security guards again when I arrived at the apartment.

They seemed to recognize me and frowned, clearly displeased. "What are you doing here again? Are you even renting? If not, stop coming here like it's a shopping mall!"

I ignored them and walked straight toward the elevator.

"Hey, I'm talking to you!" They became angry and moved to block me.

But I didn't even look back because I knew that Quintus would handle it.

As expected, I soon heard a muffled grunt from behind. Before long, Quintus entered the elevator.
