So she had to take shortcut.
And this shortcut was developed by herself to strengthen her physique using mana and the formation inside her body. The moment she reached rank 4, part of the mana would be delivered by the formation around her heart to strengthen her other parts of the body too.
But because of this method, Riya’s need of mana has become greater.
The amount of mana Riya needed in her advancement become several times more than other mages and magic warriors.
Magic warriors were the one who needed least mana among them all. They only needed to reach the very minimum of each mage’s rank to advance to the next rank because their main focus was not their mana. Most of those who picked the magic warriors path chose this path because their mana’s progression was too slow.
Of course, there were always some exception.
Some people were good at both physical arts and magic, so they picked this route that allowed them to use both.
"Oh well, let’s just practice honestly." Riya sighed and then looked in the direction where the other special magic core was located.
To be honest, if she was still rank 3, Riya would be unwilling to go there. Because fighting against several rank 3 magic beasts were still very difficult. And in the journey to that place, who knew if she would meet other magic beasts?
So Riya didn’t want to go there.
But now that Riya had reached rank 4, she was feeling a bit greedy for the special magic core in that place.
"Oh right, the mark."
Riya took out a mirror and pulled her collar down slightly. There was a petal shaped mark on her chest in peach color. It didn’t look that much different from her skin and no one would be able to see it from a distance.
"It’s still petal shape, huh?"
Inspecting the mark for a few seconds, Riya then put the mirror away.
She looked at the rune pillar behind her and then shook her head. The material of this pillar was at least rank 7, so if she wanted to do anything to it, she should become rank 7 mage at the very least.
And from rank 3 to rank 4 and from rank 6 to rank 7 was a big jump that needed a lot of mana and other materials.
It was not so easy.
Riya looked at the pillar unwillingly and then turned around. It was time to go to the second pillar.
…
Bang! Bang! Bang!
For the next day, Riya rushed towards the location of the second pillar. Through the first pillar, Riya knew the location of these pillars, but aside from two pillars that were somewhat nearby, the others were too far away. Even the third pillar was at least a few cities away and traveling through this dark tunnels were not that easy.
Bang!
"Finally here." Riya looked at the second pillar in front of her and smiled. She stepped forward and repeated the same thing as she did to the first pillar, which was to take out the special magic core.
This special magic core was still rank 5, so it seemed that the formation didn’t rapidly consume the energy contained within these cores as she had originally thought.
Absorbing the second special magic core, Riya’s rank advanced to late rank 4 and there was another petal formed on her chest and the color looked somewhat glistening. It was covered by clothes, so no one would be able to see it.
"It’s done."
Now what?
