Chapter 17: Chaos Outside

Riya smiled reassuringly and wrapped a scarf around her face. This would look as if she was protecting herself.

Though, as a magician, Riya was confident that she would be fine.

She took out a small bag of rice and then carried a box containing 12 eggs on the other hand. With this, Ruby would be fine for the next week.

Riya peeled the talisman and headed to the other room and knocked.

"Ruby, I'm here."

"Ok."

The door opened and Riya placed the packet inside before walking away hurriedly. However as Riya was outside, she also carefully tried to feel the mana within the mist and felt a bit apprehensive.

The mist seemed to be sustained by the mana as the mana was slowly being released, blending with the world.

"Thank you," Ruby whispered and dragged the items inside before closing the door again.

Riya returned, go to the bathroom but she took care of her farm first before taking a bath.
