Amelia laughed. "It’s fine. And if you truly have troubles because of Jones Family, tell me. I wouldn’t let her cause troubles for you, no matter what the reason for it is."
"Okay." Riya nodded sensibly.
The girls chatted happily and no longer talked about Valeria anymore. Rather than talking about a person whom they disliked, wouldn’t it be better to talk about topics that they liked instead?
There were many things that they also wanted to talk about at this time after not able to meet for a long time.
Amelia was mostly busy with her own activity.
Sophia was doing her practice in the clinic to take care of the animals sent there every single day. She rarely had time off if not because of her asking her brother to ask for a leave.
*whisper* *whisper*
"Is there someone coming?" Amelia’s hearing was the most sensitive to gossip. When she saw several people were talking with each other, she had the faint feeling that there might be something that happened over there but was not known.
"Maybe?" Sophia was not sure and turned to look at the manager.
The manager appeared and shook his head at Sophia, showing that he also didn’t know. Perhaps, it was someone who come temporarily.
But when the few people appeared, Sophia and Amelia both showed the look of surprise.
"Governor Zachary," the two of them called out.
Governor Zachary?
Riya had to turn her brain to remember that the current governor in their city was indeed named Zachary. However, she didn’t know how he looked like because she didn’t read newspaper…
*cough*
However, she still a polite expression on her face. The so called polite was that of a faint smile since Riya really didn’t know what kind of expression she should have on her face when she was meeting the governor for the first time in her life.
"You two are here, Miss Jones, Miss Carson." Governor Zachary smiled when he saw the two of them.
"I still own part of this store." Sophia smiled. "Are you planning to try your luck, Governor Zachary?"
"Ah, no. I’m here to accompany him." Governor Zachary pointed to the man not far behind him.
