Corinne was in the shower when her phone started ringing. However, it switched off not long after as it had run out of battery. After blow-drying her hair, Corinne connected her phone to the charger and went to sleep without turning it back on.
The next morning, Corinne left for the summer villa after taking her breakfast and giving Pamela a safe excuse as to where she was going. Pamela, ever the worrier, was reluctant to let Corinne go out alone, but she felt more reassured after knowing Tommy would be accompanying her.
'Jeremy must've arranged security detail for Corinne,' thought Pamela.
Since it was a weekend, it meant Chester would be coming in the morning to tutor Francine, so she woke up earlier than usual to tidy up her room. At first, being worried about Corinne going out alone, she wanted to accompany her. However, she did not really want to miss the chance to see Chester. In the end, she chose to stay at home to wait for Chester after learning Tommy would be accompanying Corinne.
'Corinne's gonna be fine with Tommy accompanying her,' Francine told herself.
…
Tommy sat in the front passenger seat while Corinne sat in the back seat. Together, they drove to the Riveras' summer villa. Tommy had notified the Riveras that Corinne would be dropping by, so the servants were on standby to receive her. Even though the Riveras and the Holdens had bad blood between them, it did not seem to carry over to Corinne as the Riveras seem to really like her.
The car drove along the country road.
Tommy shut his laptop close after finishing some work. He then turned to look at Corinne, who was resting with her eyes closed. "Ma'am, did you sleep very early last night?"
"I think so. I didn't check the time before I went to sleep. Why do you ask?" replied Corinne without opening her eyes.
"Your phone was turned off when Mister Jeremy called you last night. He got worried about you, so he called me. He sounded very relieved after I told him you're okay."

The readers' comments on the novel: The Day I Kissed An Older Man
This book is a good book, but it’s too short. I hope it has a part two👍🏾...
This book is getting boring now. I loved Jeremy, Corinne, Sonny and Lucas. The story needs to end. or bring back more of Jeremy, etc....
I haven't skipped any chapter at all. Though the story is good, it keeps going back to base one. I think this has no ending at all and somehow after reading more than 2500 chapters it's kinda tiring already. They have drained all the thrills....
Great writing! I almost cried when Helen hit Melody! So sad! 😭 can’t wait to see how the relationship with her and Lucas develops though. So tired of the repetitive problems with different people....
Yikes my body tenses so much, my moods change as the scenes change. It leaves me wanting to continue reading....
my heart breaks for melody, so many ups and downs, i shed a few tears when lucas walked by melody carrying thalia, and melody stayed quiet while watching them leave. i find myself getting into character as if im one. i dont remember ever feeling like that in any other books. im thankful the 10 chapters/day. waiting for the next 10...
We have updated progress from 7 chapters/day to 10 chapters/day.<3...
i love grandma Beatrice, there needs to me more people like her in the world straight forward and to the point, no beating around the bush and worrying about offending anyone, why pretend to be someone your not....
looking forward to more chapters, The same thing is happening to Melody as what happened to Luna, if Luna was back maybe she would set Lucas straight, can't wait to see how Lucas handles the situations that will arrive. Poor Melody....
ya Lucas pay more attention to Melody lets see what happens waiting for more chapters thanks...
