In the middle of the night, Erin stirred up in her sleep only to find herself in a familiar embrace. Surprised, she looked at the man who was holding her closer.
’When did he come to my room? I Don’t remember.’
In the dim light of the night lamp, he looked even more handsome. Even before she could feel it was enough, a man opened his eyes all of a sudden, taking her by surprise.
"Are you uncomfortable sleeping like this?" he asked.
She lightly shook her head and asked, "Why are you here instead of in your chamber?"
He wordlessly looked at her as if trying to see through her thoughts, and then asked, "You don’t want me to?"
She immediately shook her head. She was worried, he would take it otherwise and return to his own room. "I didn’t mean it that way."
"Then, let’s sleep," he said and pulled her even closer, "It’s late."
Erin buried her face at the top of his chest and asked, "We are yet to be married. Won’t your mother and others find it...."
"I don’t care about others. And about my mother, didn’t she come to you because she cared for you?" he asked.
Erin understood the meaning and asked, "Did you ask her to give me that medicine?"
"I didn’t," he said, "As you are in her care, it’s her duty to think about your wellbeing."
Erin hummed and asked, "Would you want me to take that medicine?"
"I would want whatever you want," he answered firmly, not a tinge of hesitation.
"I didn’t take it," she answered.
He simply hummed, making her wonder what exactly he thought about her decision. But as he said it was up to her; she didn’t press further.
Just as she closed her eyes, she heard him say, "We would be getting married in a month anyways, so don’t worry."
A light smile painted on her lips as she knew it was his way of assuring her that he was with her whatever she decides and would be fine with whatever happens.
She hummed and closed her eyes to sleep, a smile on her lips widening.

Over a month passed by. During this time so many things happened that led to the day of Erin and Lucian’s wedding.
Aaron had talked to the king and the Ahren’s and all the misunderstandings were cleared. As Aaron was fine with everything and gladly approved Erin and Lucian’s marriage arrangements, Lord Ahren felt relieved.
All the guests were directed to their respective stay arrangements that were made into the guest mansions across the Wynter’s estate, along with all the facilities needed. freeweɓnovel.cøm
