Nicole's face turned ghostly pale upon hearing this.
Brandon shot her an icy glare.
"Play the recording," he ordered Joseph.
Joseph immediately held up his phone and tapped the play button.
Nicole's voice played through the speaker, layered with the unmistakable sounds of undressing and moans.
"There's nothing between Brandon and me, Kirk. We're not a couple—just ordinary classmates. Besides, what is he compared to you? I fell for you at first sight. And I'm young too. It's been years since your wife passed—so, how about I be your next one?" she said.
Kirk chuckled coldly. "I know you're only after my money, so you'll sign a prenuptial agreement before we marry. You won't get a penny out of me."
"I'm not after your money. I love you." Nicole giggled sultrily. "Ah! Don't be so rough…"
Once the first recording ended, Joseph immediately played the next one.
This one was from when Nicole was taking care of Kirk while he was in the hospital.
She sounded irritated as she spoke on the phone. "This old fart's about to die, and yet he didn't leave me a single cent in his will! Hmph! It's a good thing I planned for this and strung Brandon along all these years.
"The Slewman family's fortune will be as good as mine once he inherits it. The money will still be in my hands as long as I keep him wrapped around my finger. Plus, he's head-over-heels in love with me, so he'll believe anything I say!"
Once the recording ended, Joseph said to Brandon, "These recordings were part of your father's will, sir. He instructed his lawyer to give them to you when the time was right, to help you see Nicole Manther's true colors."
