Chapter49
She got into the passenger seat, her uncomfortable thin high heels were taken off directly.
He then rested against the soft seat, not giving Eliezer a glance.
Fernando outside the car looked horrified and blamed Eliezer, “Mr. Woodward was a bit too rude.”
If it weren’t for him, Lindsey wouldn’t have almost fallen!
Eliezer’s heart was already burning with anger, and he coldly turned back at Fernando’s words, “Don’t bother, Mr. Conner, I will take care of my wife. It’s you who may need a reminder, or perhaps your cousin, not to covet women who are not yet divorced, a male mistress is still a mistress!”
With that, he slammed the car door hard.
Lindsey opened her eyes in surprise and rubbed her ears impatiently.
Crazy!
Eliezer got into the car, she immediately turned over and curled up her legs on the passenger seat, her head facing the window on the side.
It was clear that she didn’t want to see him.
Eliezer glanced at her, drove around the pool in front of the venue.
The car was going so fast that it almost threw Lindsey off!
She grabbed onto the hand tightly, barely managing to keep herself from falling to the driver’s seat.
Over
Up until the street, there was no sign of the speed slowing down, in fact, it was getting faster.
“Eliezer, can you please slow down?” Lindsey finally couldn’t help but
say.
Eliezer ignored it as if he hadn’t heard, even overtaking.
The pushback and the high speed, along with the cars passing by, made Lindsey almost scream. She couldn’t help but close her eyes: “Eliezer, can you please slow down? I’m scared!”
Not sure if her voice really had a hint of tremor, making him realize his conscience, he finally slowed down the car.
The speed of the car was stabilizing, and the low, chilling voice came slowly.
“Stay away from the Richmond family.”
Lindsey was still in shock, but the words came out of her mouth: “Can you stay away from Jaelyn?”
“There is no comparison between the two.”
Eliezer frowned.
“How come there’s no comparability? Just because Mr. Richmond is male, Jaclyn is female, now it’s all about gender equality, Mr. Woodward?”
Lindsey sat up straight and fastened her seatbelt.
“And just now you said to Mr. Conner outside the car that a man’s mistress is also a mistress, actually I have always wanted to ask you a question. For you, who is the mistress between me and Jaelyn?”
As the words fell, the atmosphere inside the car suddenly fell silent.
Apart from the sound of the car engine, there was only the shallow breathing of the two people left.
Lindsey also didn’t expect Eliezer to provide an answer.
She self–deprecatingly joked, “There’s a very common saying online, that the one who is not loved is the true mistress. Even if you don’t say it, I know it in my heart. Now I understand, a forced melon is truly not sweet…”
She paused, turned her head to look at Eliezer, her tone and expression both very serious.
“So. Mr. Woodward, I let go of everything, can’t you let me go?”
Eliezer gazed ahead, his thin lips pressed tightly together.
The speed of the car was clearly steady, but he managed to drive it with a high–speed racing sensation.
For a long time, the suppressed anger finally spilled out of Eliezer’s mouth.
“Did you
you come back this time with the intention of getting a divorce early on? That night at Silverwood Manor, you lied to me.”
It was already known, but he had to ask for the details.
Even the tone is declarative, not interrogative.
Lindsey said lightly, “I was prepared for divorce early on, didn’t you? Why do you have to use the tone of being dumped by me? If you think I’ve wronged you. I can apologize to you.”
