Chapter 178
“Your Soul Centipede?” Eliza repeated. With sweat all over her forehead, she raised her head and looked in the direction of the voice. “Oh, it’s you.”
Then, she continued her work and ignored Gilbert.
Gilbert was mad at Eliza for being slighted. “Answer me! Where is my Soul Centipede? Where did you hide it?” he shouted.
Eliza hated being disturbed at work. She impatiently raised her head and glared at Gilbert. “I have it in my place, but why should I give it back to you?”
Holding a hoe, Eliza sneered. “Your poisonous centipede almost bit me. How dare you show up! Aren’t you afraid that I will get you killed?”
“I dare you.” Gilbert held his chin up, and there was contempt on his exotic face. “I will get back at the nuns here if your men
hurt me.
“Holy Lady, you won’t let them suffer for you, will you?” Gilbert thought that he had found Eliza’s weak point.
Eliza sneered. “I dare you to lay a finger on them. You can’t hurt the nuns here, and I won’t return the centipede to you.”
Then, she continued her work. She didn’t want her precious herbs from the pocket farm to get ruined.
Once again, Gilbert felt slighted. Angered, he lifted his foot to enter the backyard. Instantly, there came malicious
momentum.
Without hesitation, Gilbert withdrew his feet, and the malicious momentum dissipated in an instant.
Gilbert quickly understood that he could talk with Eliza but wasn’t allowed into the backyard. He narrowed his eyes slightly.
Rebellious, he lifted his foot again. This time, he didn’t back off and set foot in the backyard.
Instantly, a shadow charged at Gilbert. Then, a fierce fight happened. Tina ordered coldly, “Get out of this yard right away.” “You again! Let’s finish the fight that night. Without disturbance, let’s see who will be the final winner,” Gilbert said.
Tina snorted coldly. “You’re courting death.” The fight between Gilbert and Tina continued in Eliza’s yard.
Eliza ordered without raising her head, “Stay away from my herbs.”
It was understandable for Tina to abide by the order. When Gilbert did the same, things became weird.
In the yard, there was a weird scene. Eliza was busy with her herbs on one side of the yard while her shadow guard and an assassin were engrossed in a fierce fight on the other side.
There was a subtle balance between the two parties. It was getting dark, and the duel didn’t end yet.
Eliza got her work done. After one glance at the two fighters, she headed towards the kitchen to prepare dinner.
Yes, she had a new kitchen in her yard. Mary had that kitchen built after she learned that Eliza would study poison.
In this way, Eliza could dine alone when she was too busy to join the crowd or didn’t want to. The problem was that she should be very cautious not to get herself poisoned.
Half an hour later, Eliza reappeared with three plates of spaghetti and placed them on the table in the yard.
Then, she returned to the kitchen for the forks. Back in the yard, she casually shouted, “Time for dinner.”
Instantly, Tina stopped fighting and ran to Eliza. Gilbert lost his chance to get the upper hand in this fight.
Dumbfounded, he followed his rival over after the fight paused abruptly. With embarrassment, he stood by the table and glanced at the food from time to time.

Chapter 178
“How could you, Holy Lady, cook for others? Is this plate of food for me?” Gilbert asked.
Eliza enjoyed her dinner without raising her head. “No, it’s for Tina. She eats a lot.” Tina nodded. “Yep.”
Gilbert became wide–eyed and then shot one glare at Tina. “How can you eat two plates of spaghetti? Whatever. There are three forks, so this plate
.must be mine.”
Angry, he sat down, picked
Angry, he sat down, picked up the fork, and ate. “Holy Lady is of bad temper, but she is a good cook anyway,” he thought.
Gilbert concentrated on his plate and had a good dinner. In the end, he even scraped the sauce off the plate after all the spaghetti was eaten up.
When he raised his head, he found two intent gazes at him. “What are you doing? Why are you two staring at me?” he stammered.
