“You… are you people out of your minds?!” Dylm shouted, curled up on the ground, arms wrapped around his head as fists rained down on him like a storm. Tin Lord Dylan“”
But that only made the mob hit harder.
“Exactly why we’re beating you!“
The out–of–towners threw punches with particular enthusiasm after all, they’d vanish after this. So what if the Stonor family was powerful? Were they going to hunt down a bunch of nameless strangers across the entire kingdom!
The merchants from Plutonville were especially brazen. Once they got back, they’d brag about how they personally defended the Holy Lady for weeks.
When the beatdown finally reached its peak, Eliza calmly spoke up. “That’s enough.”
The crowd quieted immediately. The Plutonville guests were the first to step back and beam at her.
“Holy Lady, there’s no need to thank us!”
“Yes, it was our honor to protect you!”
“If you need anything else–say the word.”
“We folks from Plutonville always stand by justice!”
Eliza gave a soft smile. “Your kindness is deeply appreciated. I already have a good idea who was behind this, so there’s no need to trouble you any further.”
“No trouble at all! And if anything ever happens again, just send word–we’ve got plenty of shops here in Hasen City. One message, and we’ll be at Saint Grace Nunnery in a flash”
They rattled off the names and addresses of all their local shops, just in case Eliza ran into more trouble after they left.
“I’ll remember, she said with a nod, her smile sincere.
Even the guests who weren’t from Plutonville edged closer to her. She was warm and gracious, and before long the entire group had gathered around.
Seeing the growing crowd, Eliza waved them all to stay put. Then she and Sarah slipped away and returned with bundles of fresh herbs, packaged neatly into parcels.
“These herbs are grown by my own hand, Eliza said. “They strengthen the body and help with fatigue. I hope you’ll accept them as thanks for your help today.”
of course
we will
“Accept! We’re honored!”
Plutonville’s delegation practically jumped for joy, and even the others queued up eagerly to receive their share. Soon enough, everyone left with a gift–and the entrance to Saint Grace Nunnery finally quieted down.
Once the crowd dispersed, Sarah looked around and asked, “Huh? Where’s Dylan? Did he run off while no one was watching?
“Maybe, Eliza replied with a faint smile.

Chapter 225
But when she returned to her courtyard, she found Dylan had already been tied up by Tina. His eyes were covered, and his mouth stuffed tight.
Eliza shook her head. “No, just keep an car out. If anyone shows up, call for me
Tina vanished like a shadow,
Before he could react, Eliza had already dragged him to the stone table and hoisted him up with gritted teeth.
“So,” she said between breaths, yanking the gag from his mouth, “tell me again–what exactly are you here for?”
