Inside the room, the two resumed their conversation. Diana had only heard rumors before, but now that she was with Eliza. she wasn’t going to let the opportunity slip by. She needed to hear everything directly from her.

She wanted to know just how much Eliza had endured over the past six months without her knowing

Unable to resist her persistence, Eliza sighed and began recounting everything that had happened over the last half–y year, one incident at a time. She laid it all out, piece by piece. Starting from when Sophie was brought into the Stonor family by Benedict.

By the time Eliza finished, Diana’s face was stiff and cold. She slammed her hand on the bed so hard it nearly collapsed. Then, without a word, she jumped up, grabbed her coat, and stormed toward the door.

“Stop right there. What do you think you’re doing? It’s freezing outside. Are you trying to catch a cold on your first day? Get back here this instant!” Eliza called out, exasperated.

Eliza didn’t need to guess what Diana was planning. She knew her too well. That fiery temper of hers hadn’t changed one bit, always ready to explode.

“I’m going to crack those bastards‘ skulls open and see what kind of garbage they got inside.” Diana fumed, her voice trembling with rage.

“All that over a little bitch? And they dared to treat you like that? It’s infuriating!”

Since she couldn’t storm out, Diana vented her anger by throwing a flurry of punches into the air right where she stood. Her movements were sharp and furious as if she were imagining her enemies before her.

Judging by her stance, if she were allowed to leave, she’d probably crack a few skulls. After all, it wouldn’t be the first time she’d done something like that.

Take Matthew, for instance. Back when they were kids, she’d once hit him on the head with a rock, leaving him bleeding and crying for three days straight.
