Nolan said, “Next time you’re off doing something like that, could you at least take me with you? Or give me a heads up? We re in the middle of something, and then I turn around and you’ve disappeared, leaving me and a whole group of people to search all over Hasen City.

“And you, of course, end up halfway to becoming Her Grace’s personal guard.”

Ross, who had insisted on tagging along with Nolan, was sitting outside, cracking his whip and complaining non–stop in a slightly aggrieved tone, “Do you not think the Black Flag soldiers are good enough to guard her?

“Why did you have to jump into action yourself? You’re the Prince Regent for crying out loud–how could you be doing something so… beneath you?”

Nolan inside the carriage was too lazy to respond to him.

Four hours later, the carriage finally arrived at Saint Grace Nunnery.

After knocking on the gates and informing the abbesses, Nolan made his way to Serenity’s courtyard with practiced ease.

“Serenity, come quickly, I’ve brought you something wonderful!”

The moment he entered the courtyard, Nolan eagerly called out.

Eliza, who had been reading medical texts in the yard, looked up at the sound of his voice and immediately spotted the small bamboo cage Nolan was holding.

Eliza asked, “What’s this wonderful thing you’re so happy about?”
