Chapter 211: 131 Bullying (Second Update)
On the first day of school, Gu Jiao was actually a bit worried about Xiao Liulang and Xiaojingkong.
Xiaojingkong was too young to be in a completely unfamiliar environment and among a group of geniuses no less intelligent than him. Gu Jiao wasn’t sure what kind of reaction he would have in the academy.
Xiao Liulang, on the other hand, was being targeted by someone, and she wasn’t sure if they would cause any trouble for him in the Guozijian.
Unexpectedly, Xiaojingkong and Xiao Liulang were fine after a day, but there was an issue with Gu Yan.
The cause of the incident started with Gu Yan and Gu Xiaoshun enrolling in school.
The two had an equal foundation and were assigned to the same class.
Qinghe Academy was an institution with excellent teachers, so many children from aristocratic families, including the two young masters from the Marquis Residence, Gu Chengfeng and Gu Chenglin, came here to study.
Qinghe Academy previously had many students from the Guozijian. However, when the Guozijian started its new term, everyone went back, leaving many spots open in the Qinghe Academy which was then filled by Gu Chengfeng and Gu Chenglin.
However, the two were older than Gu Yan and Gu Xiaoshun and studied more; thus, they were assigned to a different class.
The two classes were right across from each other, separated by a small garden.
Gu Chenglin was waiting for Gu Chengfeng in the garden when Gu Yan, carrying a book bag, walked past him.
Upon seeing Gu Yan’s appearance, Gu Chenglin felt a sense of familiarity, as if he had seen him somewhere before. Then he heard someone call out to him: “Gu Yan!”
Gu Yan, Gu Yan, wasn’t that the name of their sickly younger brother?
No wonder he seemed familiar: he looked like their father!
Gu Chenglin knew that the Yao family’s twins had also come to the Capital City, and they had not returned to the residence but were staying outside. Little did he know that he would run into them so soon!
Strange, didn’t the imperial physician say that the sickly child wouldn’t live past fifteen? He was clearly over fifteen now, so why was he still lively and active?
Gu Chenglin quickly walked over to block Gu Yan’s path. “You, your name is Gu Yan?” he asked.
Gu Yan was only four years old when he left the Capital City, so he didn’t remember what his family members looked like and didn’t recognize Gu Chenglin.
However, that didn’t prevent Gu Yan from sensing Gu Chenglin’s ill intentions.
Gu Yan’s eyebrows furrowed slightly. “Who are you?” he asked.
Gu Chenglin rudely poked Gu Yan’s shoulder and said arrogantly, “Boy, I’m asking you a question. You better answer honestly. Are you Gu Yan?”
