Chapter 483: 246 Brothers (First Update)
Minmin knew how to dodge the garden guards. He rushed all the way out of his residence to the bustling avenue. There, he saw a carriage waiting by the roadside. Panting, he walked up to it, “To the Healing Hands Hall!”
The coachman looked at him strangely.
He tore off a jade pendant from his waist: “Here!”
It was top-grade mutton-fat jade. Although the coachman could not tell real jade from fake, the tassel of the jade pendant had a gold ingot hanging from it, and that was undeniably real gold.
The coachman was instantly delighted: “Alright, alright, hop in, young master! To the Healing Hands Hall on Xuanwu Avenue, right? I’ll get you there safely!”
“You must hurry!” Minmin told the coachman.
The coachman laughed: “Alright, alright, faster, give the horse a good thrashing!”
Minmin was lucky because this was indeed a carriage-for-hire, and not a privately-owned vehicle of some wealthy household. Otherwise, the coachman might not have accepted Minmin’s offer.
Furthermore, the coachman wasn’t a loafer either.
Soon, the carriage arrived at the Healing Hands Hall.
Minmin jumped off the carriage, feeling an itch in his throat. He coughed a couple of times.
He had left in a hurry this morning and forgot to take his medicine.
The staff at the Medical Hall recognized this little patient. A young pharmacy apprentice came over and asked: “Young Master, are you here for a follow-up? Where are your parents?”
Minmin didn’t answer his question but asked solemnly, “Where’s Jingkong?”
He was the Prince’s son, the Sovereign’s grandson. His royal aura was engraved in his bones. When he was serious, even the young pharmacy apprentice was taken aback.
The bewildered apprentice stammered, “You mean Miss Gu’s younger brother? He didn’t come to the Medical Hall. He should be at school.”
“Where does he go to school?” Minmin asked further.
“Guozijian.” The apprentice replied.
“Which way to Guozijian?” asked Minmin.
“Go straight ahead, see the cloth shop ahead? Head west from there.”
Minmin ran off as soon as the apprentice finished speaking.
The apprentice scratched his head, utterly confused.
Minmin headed for Guozijian.
Classes at Guozijian were still in session and he couldn’t get in. He mentioned his diplomacy position from Liang Country, but no one believed him.
He was left no choice but to wait at the entrance.
