Gu Chengfeng saw him again, noticing that he did not have a cane with him, which meant he must have come out deliberately to carry her home. His appearance was neat and tidy, his expression was clear, unlike someone who had been woken up from his sleep. Instead, it seemed as if he had been waiting for this young lady all along.
Gu Chengfeng hesitated for a moment, then handed over Gu Jiao to Xiao Liulang.
Without his cane, Xiao Liulang had some difficulty walking, but he firmly held Gu Jiao in his arms.
Gu Chengfeng was curious if he would drop her, always watching as Xiao Liulang entered the house. The moment he stepped over the threshold, Gu Jiao suddenly clung to Xiao Liulang’s neck and planted a kiss on his face!
Gu Chengfeng felt like gouging his own eyes out!
Why did he stay here to watch? He was just asking for trouble!
Xiao Liulang was also startled by the kiss, but knowing that Gu Chengfeng hadn’t gone far, he walked into the courtyard as usual, placed her on the bed in the east bedchamber, and looked at her intently. "Do you know who I am?"
Gu Jiao sat cross-legged on the bed, her big watery eyes wide open, she said obediently, "I know!"
She pretended to be sober, resembling an innocent little fawn.
Xiao Liulang was a bit overwhelmed. His heart was swelling. He drew a deep breath, and in a low voice, he asked her, "Then who am I?"
Gu Jiao: "My husband."
Xiao Liulang: "And who is your husband?"
Gu Jiao: "Liulang, Xiao Liulang!"
After she finished, she sprawled out on the bed like a porcelain doll and fell asleep.
Xiao Liulang looked at her flushed face, her long eyelashes, her slightly parted lips. A lump slid up his throat, and he quickly looked away.
He stood up with the intention to leave, however, Gu Jiao suddenly grabbed his sleeve and pulled him towards her in a daze, causing him to fall towards her.
He managed to support his body with his other hand, hovering just above her.
Her face was close, the scent of Pear Blossom Wine lingering at the tip of his nose.
Xiao Liulang’s eyelashes trembled slightly. Somehow, her dress had slipped a little off her shoulder, revealing a delicate collarbone. Just a quick glance and his blood rushed to his head.
His breathing became rapid.
