Jason glanced at the car Evelyn had just gotten into.
If he was not mistaken, Thomas' gaze was unusually warm and eager. It was as if he had found his kindred spirit. It looked like nothing close to mere polite friendliness.
A flicker of suspicion crossed his mind. Was he just overthinking it?
Not far away, Brandon had seen the whole scene unfold.
From Evelyn opening Lucas' car door to the arrival of Tiffany, he saw everything that transpired with his own eyes.
He could not help but chuckle. How did he always manage to catch these juicy moments?
It was no wonder Evelyn had looked at Lucas like that just now. She was still harboring indecent thoughts toward him. She wanted to get into the same car as him, only to be put in her place by his rightful girlfriend.
"What's so funny?" The deep voice of a man was heard from the other end of his phone.
Brandon flicked his cigarette ash away and said, "Just saw some entertaining drama. Sometimes, too much charm can be a problem. There are all sorts of tricks a woman can pull to reel in a man."
The voice replied calmly, "Since when were you so interested in gossip?"
Brandon choked a little. "You're roasting me again. I'm just watching the show."
He stubbed out his cigarette before continuing, "Harry Miller, when are you coming back? Will you be here for Easter?"
"It depends," came the unhurried reply.
Brandon clicked his tongue. "Dr. Miller, instead of wasting your talent overseas, why not come back and help the patients in our country?"
"Fair point."
Brandon cursed at him playfully before hanging up and getting into his car.
…
It was already past 4.00 pm after the group visited all the exhibits.
Evelyn had a long discussion with Thomas about Flying Seal Group's year-end projects. "This project is going to fill the gap in our country's innovation.
