Sebastian had turned down Lucas' offer because he truly had an appointment. He was going to meet a mentor.
Before he left, he urged Evelyn over and over again, saying, "The pasta at the restaurant of this hotel is very good. You should go try it later. I'll bring you some dessert when I come back at night."
Evelyn chuckled. "Alright."
Sebastian had known Evelyn for years. He was a meticulous person and had always treated her very well. It was only natural that he knew some of her preferences.
Evelyn was staying in an executive suite. After she put her luggage down, she thought of Lucas and the others.
All the rooms on her floor were executive suites, while the presidential suite was upstairs. She figured that Lucas should be staying upstairs with Tiffany, but she did not mind that.
At noon, Evelyn went downstairs with her phone to grab some lunch.
The restaurant at the hotel was a high-end one. Evelyn chose a spot near the window. As she was having lunch on her own, she only ordered a plate of pasta and a bowl of soup.
When Lucas and the others came downstairs, they saw Evelyn sitting alone. All the other tables had a few people sitting together, which made Evelyn stick out like a sore thumb. She looked quite lonely.
Evelyn noticed them as well. She paused only for a moment before continuing to eat. She knew they did not like her. Her relationship with them was peculiar, so they would not choose to have lunch together with her. It would be best to not bother each other.
Tiffany glanced at Evelyn before pulling her gaze away and took her seat with Lucas.
Mason raised his eyebrows at Lucas and said, "Isn't she quite pitiful? She's all alone. Should we invite her to have lunch together?"
Tiffany paused as she wiped her hands, glancing at Lucas, who was looking through the menu. Looking indifferent, he asked, "What are you guys having?"
