The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 337

Chapter 337: Equipment Check

How about a no?

Ollie could seriously see how so many things could go wrong.

Just the setup of this place alone was screaming ’high-budget horror film,’ which would have been great if they weren’t the forced actors.

His grip tightened so intensely that Kyle thought it was great he was wearing the military-issued exploration suit, or it would’ve been torn by now.

"Ollie, stop gripping so hard like that," said the adjutant, who would’ve ideally opened his hands himself if not for needing to make sure that he was ready to pilot at any time.

"I’ll just pay for it..." muttered the blonde who wasn’t even blinking.

"I don’t care about the clothes. But if you keep on doing that, you’ll break your own fingers," reasoned Kyle.

It was only then that Ollie looked back at him in surprise.

"You have an important role. So you have to be ready, and you need your fingers for it."

"Huh...?"

The mop felt like this giant was speaking in a language he couldn’t understand.

How was it possible for him to have an important role?

"You have the pills with you, right? And also the spiritual food?"

Ollie blinked, momentarily dazed until he realized he did, and only then did he give an earnest nod.

"Right." Kyle didn’t look down at the blonde who was surely staring at him, but continued. "This fight looks like it won’t be easy, and if there’s corruption, then we need to avoid reaching that critical point."

The initially wilting stick suddenly straightened as if realizing what it meant.

But instead of stopping there, Ollie suddenly reached down, which got a raised brow from the adjutant.

"I understand! You need food, right?! A constant supply?!" he said as if in a rush.

Kyle nodded, and while it was in part to get Ollie to stop locking up like that, it was a true need that he seemed to have forgotten since they started being dependent on Luca’s dungeon.

But now that they couldn’t access it, they would have to go back to basics.

Or as basic as this could be, considering what this hoarder apparently stashed on there without him even noticing.

"???"

It was some sort of mini-fridge, and Kyle, for a moment, wanted to look because he couldn’t believe what he was seeing in his peripheral vision.

"Is that a fridge?!" asked the mecha pilot who should’ve known better.

"Sort of. This one has its own power system, so it should survive even when the mecha isn’t capable of working."

Kyle was momentarily speechless until he asked, "But why?"

Then Ollie looked at him as if he were the ridiculous one.

"What would happen if you’re stranded somewhere and can’t get help right away?" the blonde’s brows furrowed as he imagined the scenarios he thought of when he first installed this.

"And sure, you have space buttons with a few rations, but what if it’s destroyed from taking a bullet or something like that?!"

Okay, clearly that might not be the most common application, but sometimes, space buttons get lost, stolen, or left behind.

So what then?

"If you had this, then you would likely be able to survive until help gets there. But if you didn’t..." he trailed off, but looked every bit scared of whatever he was imagining.

"And look! Right now, it should be helpful!"

Then Kyle saw him reaching for the comms.

"Everyone, on the lower right side of your cockpit chair, just under the console, there’s supposed to be a compartment there," said Ollie, whose face looked a bit more hopeful now.

"You should be able to open it by kicking it softly. I think we managed to install it on the mechas we’re using now..." He tried to recall if he missed any of the combination piloted mechas on here, but was pretty sure they only hadn’t gotten to the Duke’s mecha because he’s been too busy to leave it with them.

But for everyone else, it should be good.
