The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 386

Chapter 386: Productivity

Thinking that more days meant more time to hide from the world was apparently a big mistake.

Who knew?

Instead, it was as if more days meant more time to work, and more time to toil meant more things to do.

Now, make no mistake—Kyle had always been the productive type. But even he was starting to feel...outpaced.

Because, apparently, one should never underestimate the productivity of people with a grudge.

It was as if the people around him, especially the older ones, were injected with chicken blood when they learned of the approaching expo.

For one, Cece the dwarf had been so fired up, and was unusually antsy because she felt like her friends had been wronged. And so the woman practically swallowed the information she could get from the Materials Handling Training Module to rush to the caves.

Or well, it was probably way easier to learn and note down because she had been gifted a terminal by Luca, who noticed that she didn’t seem to have one.

And what do you know? It was as if the child was after her own heart as the dwarf felt even more fired up than ever. And if she wasn’t currently being observed, Cece would’ve already dug her way straight through the dungeon wall.

Thankfully, the glorified shuttle bus as well as the very expensive ore detector were asked to come with her for aid, and well, monitoring.

At first, they were hesitant, but after realizing what the masters and the host were about to do, the two sentient mechas and one bubbly bit knew what was best for them.

In particular, D-29 wanted to run to the deepest cavern after hearing the word "training."

Now, if training only included the people, then it wouldn’t have been a problem. But the little system heard something horrifying from the lips of the Duchess and decided to run with D-64 to allegedly "babysit."

It was for the best.

And the innocent D-64 thought so too, as the small unit gleefully followed all of them, excited to "play with shiny rocks."

Meanwhile, the Mylor couple had rushed home to get the ball rolling. They knew they had to move fast—very fast. Their shipment would set the pace for Luca’s construction team, and they could not afford to be the bottleneck.

But that was if they could evade all the questions from their son, Owen.

They figured it would be difficult, and so a bribe had to be made to distract the big kid from asking the life, death, and resurrection of his older brother, Ollie.

They had lobster for dinner, which they were given because it was apparently in season, much to their luck. This was a concept related to resource sustainability that they were still getting familiar with.

Not that the people of the Empire had never practiced it, but because it wasn’t logical to do this in this current era.

In lands that could face the threat of contamination every day, leaving resources that would only feed corruption wasn’t something that people could stomach.

And it was practically why both humans and corruption were razing planets upon planets in a bid to see who could access the resources faster.

Then wasn’t that just a lose-lose situation?

Definitely so. But could they really blame the humans who had been left with no option?

Not really.

However, that was before all this. And now that they knew about the possibility of conservation and sustainability, they’d be guilty if they ignored it.

And so, on top of the lessons on spiritual cultivation that they were all encouraged to learn, the Marquis was planning on starting his own backyard vegetable garden in Luca’s space.

Maybe like this, they wouldn’t have to rely too much on the busy young lads for food.

Also, what do you know? They were given WCP for contributing to the Aquaponics Complex. The businessman was just surprised to see people’s competitiveness in obtaining limited-quantity goods. And before he knew it, the nobleman who normally didn’t have issues buying in billions was now sweating bullets trying to win a single jar of chili flakes.

But he couldn’t get it.
