The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 42

Chapter 42: Confrontation?

Awkward...

Awkward...

Super awkward!!!

Luca thought that to himself while D-29 tried convincing him to hang in there.

But then there it was again, the strong compulsion.

It was an odd sensation like he was being compelled to look for something, which caused him to zone out. freewebnøvel.com

Not the chirping of birds, the sound of school announcements, or the strong heartbeat from the chest in front of him could distract him from the instinctive desire to feel something out.

So he did.

Luca looked for whatever that was using his sea of consciousness.

Meanwhile, Xavier was baffled by how unlucky he’d gotten to keep encountering this guy.

Not to mention how it’s always under the strangest circumstances.

He was about to swat him away but noticed the change in his demeanor.

Xavier prepared for an attack that never came.

For a moment, he thought this guy was some sort of suicide bomber who kept getting close to him just to detonate both of them. But then he felt a powerful spiritual energy suddenly emanating from the little twerp.

For the people of the interstellar, this was a call for a fight, a direct challenge because their spiritual energies could rarely coexist in the same space.

Not that it’s impossible, because it does happen when people are able to open their sea of consciousness to others.

But that’s only for those with deep connections. No fool would do it when it could mean death upon betrayal. Therefore, for everyone else, this was a provocation.

Their energies were dominant in nature and would seek to dominate another person’s energy. Therefore, people were generally mindful of using their abilities in public to avoid unintended confrontations.

Then, was this chipmunk trying to challenge him in public? Had he gone out of his mind?

Xavier knew he couldn’t use his spiritual powers like normal, but he wasn’t about to stand there and get attacked, so he released his own to counter Luca’s energy.

Beside them, Kyle, who valued his life, jumped out while gripping Jax by the neck.

Even if it wasn’t at full capacity, he didn’t want to become a punching bag for their Captain’s unruly energy.

His spiritual abilities had always been fierce, but due to corruption, it had become much wilder than usual and were often followed by destruction.

Thankfully, the people who stopped to watch had more common sense than expected and moved farther away.

Kyle didn’t know what to do; he should have intervened, but he would have been shredded like paper if he had even tried.

"Wow. Do you see that, Kyle?"

"See what?" Kyle was so preoccupied that it took him a while to understand what Jax was talking about.

"That. Look at that." Kyle followed Jax’s line of sight and saw a terrifying display of power.

Fuck.

This wasn’t just ’shoo away.’

This screamed, ’Evacuate!’

While Kyle thought the worst, Xavier was baffled by his now-stupid energy.

He sure had corruption in him, but he had never heard of energies becoming stupid and insubordinate after being contaminated.

To the others who were incapable of using visual resonance, all they could feel was the sudden fluctuation of energy around them. However, people like Kyle, Jax, Luca, and Xavier could see several tendrils that looked ready to attack each other.

Except they didn’t.
