The Royal Military Academy's Impostor Owns a Dungeon [BL] novel Chapter 51

Chapter 51: Sacrifice

The problem with such flash sales was that no one would have the time to read the disclaimers or product information before buying. All they had in their heads was ’buy, buy, buy!’

And such was the case for a few individuals lucky enough to buy a whole watermelon.

The soldiers prepared a desk to hold the packages. As people who knew about the actual importance of such fruits, they were reverent enough to prepare a place just to receive them.

Because of Eden’s illegal yet effective method of announcing the update, several soldiers managed to buy their own apples or watermelon slices.

Then, to avoid the punishment of firing the fire alarm, she readily offered a part of her haul before even being asked.

Curtis thought that Eden was a monster like that. Not caring about the means but making sure to get the results, he shivered at the realization that he was the one who had to keep dealing with her.

*THUD!*

But all other thoughts vanished when the table they prepared partly caved in as the drone delivered a large box.

"Is this the correct package? Or did you order some sort of weapon?"

"No, I haven’t had the time to buy anything else. So this had to be it."

Technically, these people didn’t know what to expect; their current understanding of watermelons was based on the product thumbnail and the rudimentary research done by the medical staff.

Luca overlooked this when he was rushing. In his mind, it was okay if his pricing was off because this was a compensation of sorts anyway.

The unique packaging of the pre-cut fruits made them expensive. Even though they weren’t whole fruits, they cost more than an entire apple. It was because he used containers that could act as stand-alone coolers for his goods.

Luca just hoped they wouldn’t think he was a lousy businessman for increasing the price like that.

But contrary to his worries, the people who saw the products for the first time were in awe at what they were looking at.

"This is a watermelon? Why was it the size of a child?!" Eden looked up at her watermelon, which admittedly looked suspicious.

The pictures couldn’t do this monster of a fruit any justice, even if it rolled over.

Then, she saw the pre-cut version in the see-through container. The inside looked red and vibrant.

Opening it was an experience in itself. With it being cut like this, the smell immediately hit them the moment the package was unsealed.

"Wow."

"You’re telling me that big thing could be divided into several cuts like this?"

Everyone looked at the fruit, which seemed to shine in their eyes, to think they hadn’t even tasted the pre-cut version.

"Sir, can I taste it?" Eden asked the officers who were looking at the fruit she was holding.

They stared because it was teeming with spiritual energy that it was practically blinding. But they understood what that meant and were willing to be blinded by such a sight. Who knew when they’d see something like that again?

"It’s yours; you should be able to enjoy it." Replied the Marshal, who really thought that way. This time, people fought for their own goods and must definitely have a shot at tasting it. The others would just be lucky if someone wanted to share with them.

The others took that as permission to enjoy their own spoils of war. Not many of them got it, but it was a far larger concentration than any other group.

So when they all reacted as if they were ready to pass away, many people wondered if something was wrong.
