Luca noticed how fidgety Ollie got the whole ride back. He was jumpy, and kept checking on him.
Technically, who wouldn’t be this nervous when his brother was such a person? What if someone realized how fantastic Luca was and just snatched him on the way back?
Ollie was too much of a chicken shit to fight back, and all he was good at was screaming at the opponent like that would help. And maybe throwing money. All he could possibly help with was to ransom the guy.
He sighed all the way back, thinking of a way to improve himself for reasons that were totally unbelievable to Luca, who had a totally different set of concerns.
Luca still felt guilty about spending so much money even though he intended to replace it, so he decided to send a few more fruits, like the watermelon. With the address and contact number he got, he figured it would be fine to just send some over.
That evening, two organizations were flipping about two totally different things, but both unknowingly caused by the same person.
Come nightfall, some marketgoers, primarily soldiers, realized that a string of shops towards the end of the street were closed.
Some couldn’t help but ask, only to receive high praise about the military being so efficient that even a student could dispatch corrupted beasts by himself.
Several vendors praised the very confused soldiers and wondered what was happening because no alarm had been raised.
And they were saying a student did it?
"What about the clean-up, sir? Had members of the military gone here earlier?" He was wondering how they could open when the area should be under strict clean-up if the monsters were here earlier.
"Especially that! Why, sir, really, the youth are capable these days!"
"What do you mean by that, Uncle?" The soldier’s expression reflected the absurdity of the situation. He was even more stunned to hear that one student took care of the cleanup, literally taking all the contaminated items and cleaning the stores and houses involved.
"Which houses were affected, Uncle?" He was preparing to contact the military when the vendor pointed towards the shops close by. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
He ran over to inspect them, and they were clean. He wouldn’t associate this street with contamination if he didn’t hear anything about beasts running over.
He was an ordinary soldier, but he knew that this had to be reported to the higher-ups.
On another planet, Duke Leander was facing an array of items allegedly sent over by his son.
When he saw them, his initial reaction was to have them preserved as generational keepsakes. But Butler Gary said he couldn’t do that as the Young Lord specified that this had to be consumed and done so as fast as possible.
At first, the Duke had no idea why he would demand such a thing, but then the Butler explained that these weren’t ordinary fruits. And he would’ve easily known had he been allowed to use his abilities.
All of these were spiritual fruits.
The best he had ever seen in all his years as a buyer for the Duke.
He couldn’t believe it the first time he saw it too. But he was given one, and for the sake of being the Duke’s food taster, he tasted the apple that he actually wanted to preserve.
Lo and behold, he saw paradise.
The ship carrying them back changed course to use the shortest jump points possible. Those were official channels opened in case of an emergency, and houses such as the House of Kyros were definitely able to commandeer them when needed.
Butler Gary did so and with absolutely no remorse.
They had been waiting so long for something like this. And he would be damned if he got blocked by anyone.
When they got back, Butler Gary forgo unnecessary things, such as fixing himself to look presentable.
