Chapter 83: Take Care

Ollie was screaming internally.

The supposed harbinger of death actually felt like crying because he saw deep coring machine parts in the rubble.

This was a military mine. ƒrēewebnovel.com

And anyone with at least one eye would think that he did it.

But Ollie was a good boy who didn’t even get to press the button!

Well, he was partly right.

The people really did look at him differently, but not because of the mine.

Who would care about the mine when this blonde mop blew up the Imperial Crown Prince and the Heir to the Dukedom of Kyros?!

What fine? Ollie was going straight to the vaporizer!

His life was only sustained when a well-meaning soldier from the duchy asked about the direction that the white mecha took after flying out.

This caused heads to turn in unison. Their stalking towards Ollie stopped when someone mentioned a white mecha.

"You saw a mecha?" asked Deputy Officer Curtis, who thought that the Empire of Solaris had just been ended right then and then by a relatively scrawny boy.

The soldier nodded and said it was the same mecha they last saw from the broadcast.

That was partially why they didn’t look as scared as earlier. The mecha was flying without visible external damage.

Their Lord likely survived.

But one person who was likely not to make it was Ollie, who could only rest against a tree as he tried to process his next steps.

Will calling his father help regarding this mine? Maybe he could just pay it off and be done with it?

Then he figured he’d look for Luca and confirm if he was alright. Maybe he would have to answer for it if it were just a mine, but he would lose his allowance at best.

[Ollie: @Luca, where are you? Are you safe? Everyone’s been looking for you?!]

However, instead of getting a response, his mouth was suddenly covered, and when he blinked, he’d already been dragged elsewhere.

"Mmffff!" Ollie tried to say, which roughly translated to, "What do you think you’re doing?!"

But before he could process what was happening, a familiar yet slightly changed person blocked his view.

"?!"

"Luca?!" Ollie almost bit his tongue as it was too tied up to be saying anything that made sense.

"Hi, Ollie! I’m sorry. I wanted to respond to your message but realized that it might be better to come see you myself!"

Surprised at the developments, it actually took a while for Ollie to recognize what felt different from this guy.

"Your hair! What happened to you?!" exclaimed the fake bomber.

The actual bomber, on the other hand, could only explain part of what happened earlier.

"Shouldn’t we tell everyone that you’re back safe?" Ollie patted Luca’s head, assuring him that maybe hair extensions could help!

"Umm... I’d love to, but I have a bit of a problem, you see?"

"Huh?" Ollie wondered what kind of problem Luca could be having. Maybe he was too tired to deal with everyone?

"I think I did something bad." Luca’s face flushed, and he whispered as if afraid that the trees would be listening to them.

"What’s wrong? Do you need help?!" Ollie imitated Luca’s stance and also scanned around before speaking.

Luca hesitated but figured that Ollie was the only person he could ask for help. Finally, he steeled his heart and said, "I need help with taking care of someone."

Technically, Ollie had no experience in burying people or making them disappear, but it seemed like today was the day to learn.

But Ollie’s life had always been very colorful, and when he was young, a fortune teller said he was going to have unique life experiences—such as when they suddenly disappeared, only for him to fall on his ass upon arriving elsewhere.
