546.Chapter 546
Isabelle clenched her lower lip tightly, closing her eyes as she tried to avoid speaking.
Fletcher, seeing her like this, sighed theatrically, “Raisa, you…”
Just as he was about to say something, Isabelle cut him off sharply, her voice full of anger, “Don’t call me that name, it disgusts me.”
It wasn’t until now that Isabelle understood why Fletcher had given her second identity such a name.
Fletcher raised an eyebrow and, with a tone of resignation, said, “Alright, since you don’t like it, I won’t call you that.”
Isabelle snorted, her gaze cold as she looked at the insects Fletcher had summoned. “How much longer do I have to stay
in this chamber? And what about the people you sent to Vollult Town? Have they been recalled?”
Fletcher responded, “Of course, I haven’t forgotten what I promised you. Rest assured, those people have all been withdrawn. But I didn’t expect you to care so much about the Holy Lady.”
Isabelle said, “When did I say I cared about her?”
Fletcher replied, “Then why did you do so much for her?”
Fletcher looked at her, confused.
Isabelle spoke coldly, “I’m just repaying what I owe her.”
“What do you owe her?” Fletcher asked.
Isabelle’s eyes turned as sharp as a blade as she glared at him and sneered, “Father, have you forgotten that I nearly died at Jacqueline’s hands?”
Fletcher’s face immediately lit up as if he had just remembered. “Oh, right, it was Eliza who saved you back then. Is that what you mean?”
“What, is ‘saving my life‘ not enough of a reason? Do I need to remind you what Jacqueline and her mother did afterward?” Isabelle scoffed.
Fletcher quickly smiled, “No, no, that’s enough. The debt of life should indeed be repaid, but what about after that?”
“After that? What more is there after that?”
Isabelle knew exactly what Fletcher was probing for.
She opened her legs slightly, slowly standing up from the ground, her bare feet stepping into the blood–soaked floor. She turned to face Fletcher.
“I’m the daughter of the Henderson family, and soon I’ll become the king’s woman. After repaying such a small debt, what else do you think could happen between me and a nun?”
The proud words she spoke made Fletcher incredibly pleased.
Fletcher smiled, “Not bad, my good daughter. You must remember, you’re soon to become the Empress, so whether it’s Eliza or Diana, they can’t be your obstacle. After all…”
Fletcher patted Isabelle’s shoulder, grinning, “Our true goal is to rule the world.”
Isabelle lowered her eyes and said, “I know. So, can I leave now?”
Fletcher answered, “Of course, you’ve completed the task I assigned. Now, you can go wherever you want, just don’t miss the coronation ceremony in a few days.”
Diana was about to become the Queen, and this grand ceremony was for her.
Isabelle, as a concubine inserted midway, would only get an entry ceremony, even though she was to be the Empress.
Nevertheless, Fletcher insisted that she must attend the ceremony.
Isabelle shrugged, her lips curling in indifference as she stepped past Fletcher and left the chamber.
Leaving behind the pile of insects and Fletcher standing there.
After Isabelle’s figure had completely vanished, Fletcher turned, casting one last glance at the door and the insects th had crawled out of the Immortality Pills.
“Why are you still standing there? Go follow your ‘mother‘

They silently followed her, hiding close by.
Once Fletcher completed this task, he turned and carefully inspected the chamber once more. After confirming that nothing was out of place, he left the room.

But as he left, a small spider slowly descended from the ceiling, sliding down its web
After leaving the Henderson family’s underground “Hall of Eternity,” Isabelle immediately returned to her room and slammed the door shut.
But she didn’t stay inside. She quickly climbed out the window, moved a flowerpot, and uncovered a hidden note beneath it.
Isabelle opened the note and read it immediately: The hidden agent is dead, rose is unharmed.
Seeing the note, Isabelle let out a sigh of relief.
The hidden agent referred to the assassins Fletcher had sent.
“The hidden agent is dead” meant the assassins were dead.
Isabelle thought, ‘So Fletcher was lying earlier. The agents are dead. What’s he talking about recalling people? Recall ghosts?‘
She cursed Fletcher silently before crumpling the note and swallowing it. She then replaced the flowerpot and quickly climbed back into the room.
Within moments, out of the corner of her eye, Isabelle saw several insects that had silently crept into the room.
