607.Chapter 607
‘Who carried me down from the carriage? Why didn’t they just wake me up? Eliza thought as she rubbed her eyes in
confusion.
After lingering lazily in the warm blankets for a moment, she finally sat up and got out of bed.
She quickly got dressed, wrapping herself up tightly to keep warm, then took out a small amount of magical water from her pocket farm and used it to wash her face.
As for the used magical water, she poured it onto the herb field in her pocket farm.
Feeling completely refreshed and energized, she stepped out of the tent.
“Tina?” Eliza called out.
Tina, who had been standing guard just outside the tent, appeared at her side in an instant. “Serenity, I’m here.”
“It’s freezing. Why are you still standing outside? We’re in the Black Flag camp, it’s safe here,” said Eliza.
Back in Hasen City, Tina used to stand guard all night long. Eliza had never seen her sleep, even though Tina always claimed she had. But in Woteria, the cold was enough to kill someone overnight.
Eliza couldn’t help but remind her out of concern, “I don’t want you to stay out here all night again. If you’re tired or cold, go rest in my tent, okay? Don’t push yourself too hard.”
Tina’s eyes curved slightly above her mask, hinting at a faint smile. “Alright, I understand.”
Seeing that Tina seemed to take her words seriously, Eliza asked, “By the way, where’s His Highness?”
Tina said, “His Highness went to the governor’s mansion. Someone requested to see you, but since it was still early, His Highness said not to wake you. He thought you could decide whether to meet him after you woke up.”
“Someone wanted to see me? Who was it?” Eliza asked in puzzlement.
Tina replied, “He said his name is Rafe Malone.”
‘What could Rafe possibly want with me?‘ Eliza thought. ‘If it’s about the Malone family, he should be speaking to Nolan. Why come to me?‘
After mulling it over, she decided to meet him anyway.
She brought along the flatbread Nolan had set aside for her earlier. It was a simple meal, but it was enough to fill her up. And the flatbread even had meat in it.
Given the current circumstances, Eliza wasn’t picky. She ate whatever was prepared for her without complaint.
Even if there was no food, she could always rely on the supplies in her pocket farm, though she preferred to save those for emergencies.
