“No, not Tina. It was someone else,” Eliza said with a light laugh, as though she were sharing a curious anecdote. “Mary, you’d never guess. Aside from us siblings and Sophie, the illegitimate daughter, there’s another one of my ‘dear father’s‘ bloodlines wandering out there.”

As she spoke, Eliza kept her gaze fixed on Mary, carefully observing every flicker of emotion on her face.

Eliza fired off a barrage of sharp questions, leaving Mary momentarily stunned and at a loss for words.

Mary let out a helpless chuckle. “Of course. You’ve always been sharp. Once you saw that child, it was only a matter of time before you pieced it all together. But I never imagined… after all these years, that child would still be alive.”

Her face twisted with rage as she slammed her hand on the table, the sound echoing through the room. “Gabriel, that despicable snake! Every word out of his mouth is a lie!
